Tom Petracek takes the checkers at Beatrice Speedway

Beatrice, NE (May 27, 2006) - With the heat, wind and large car count the racing was hot and furious at Beatrice Speedway on the Speedways salute to the Armed Forces.

Tom Petracek of Wilber in his Wil-bol Lanes and Keno, Kotas Trucking, Jet Racing, A-E Construction, Wilber Auto Parts and lettered By Extreme Motorsports sponsored Jet Mod, Took the lead about 2/3rds the way through the IMCA Modifieds after battling with Dan Nelson of Beatrice and then held off Johnny Saathoff and Nelson to take home the win. Saathoff, Nelson, Metz and Bohlmeter rounded out the front 5.

Craig Evers of Beatrice in his Littleman Chassis Service, The Buss Stop, Penner Insurance, Blue Valley Door and lettered by Extreme Motorsports sponsored Limited Modified took home his first win in convincing fashion. He took the lead from the start and went on to dominate taking home the win. Bill Lux, Tom Vanover Jr, Benji Legg and Justin Fritzson completed the front 5.

James Griffith of Beatrice took his Tonka Lanes, Blue Valley Door, R.L Tieman Construction, Lillian Fritch and lettered by Extreme Motorsports IMCA Stock Car to victory by leading from the drop of the green flag. He was chased across the line by Todd Laflin, Tyler Phelps, Eric Rempel and Lance Borgman.

Roy Armstrong of Beatrice took his Neapco, Denny’s Hot Rod Repair sponsored Factory Stock to the lead late in the race to take the win from Lyle Slama. Slama, Wells, Gary Laflin and Pracheil rounded out the front 5.

Eric Chab of DeWitt took the win in the IMCA Hobby Stocks in his Franks Septic Service, Jet Racing, and lettered by Custom Graphics Hobby Stock, He was followed across the line by Kyle Vanover, Fritzson, Langdale and Parde.

Nate Canham of Deshler took home another win in the IMCA Sport Compacts adding to his National Points leading total. He was chased across the line by Peter Kruse of Deshler.
