Boston offers Eagle incentive to fan

From Gary Dominguez

Eagle, NE (May 27. 2006) - On a warm windy Saturday night before a Fan Appreciation Night Crowd at Eagle Raceway, a true champion came through in the spirit of racing.

During intermission, Mike Boston (sprint car #51) who had won the previous 3 A Features negotiated with Roger Hadan of Eagle Raceway, and Gary Dominguez of Woods Bros. Realty an agreement for an extra $500 to win the feature from 1 row further back than his regular starting position in the A Feature.

In an unexpected twist, Mike agreed to these terms only if the $500 would go to the fan in the stands that caught his thrown "Power Ball". Sadly, Mike's 9th Place finish in the feature negated the agreement, and the money will be offered in a different format at a different time pending. "There was no doubt in my mind that Mike is a class act, and a true ambassador of Racing. This just reaffirmed what I had already known" said Dominguez. "It reminds me of when he won the "Hard Charger Award" a few years back, and gave the money to the benefit of an injured Tige Jensen", a fellow driver who was injured a few weeks before at Junction Motor Speedway.

Hats off to Mike, his family, and his race team for their participation in helping to "support the sport" of racing!
