Beatrice 5-20-06: Nelson & Langdale get monkeys off their backs

Beatrice, NE (May 20, 2006) - Dan Nelson of Beatrice in his Halsey's Auto Sales, Stone Cold Motors, Jet Racing, Booth Feed & Supply, Collins Real Estate, D & G Trucking, Tonka Lanes, Trauernicht Drywall, Plymouth Electric, Odell Bar, Nebraska Machine & Tool, Beatrice Mechanical sponsored Jet Mod, dominated the IMCA Modifieds leading from green to checkered. He held off a hard charging Bob Zoubek and Jason Logan to pick up his first feature win of 2006 after coming within inches the previous week. Zoubek, Logan, Burk, and Grabouski rounded out the front 5.

Brian Langdale of Beatrice in his Extreme Motorsports, RSO Holstiens, Sack Lumber, Al's Auto Repair, Barnard Mower Service, Deines Pharmacy, Kuhl Trenching, Big Red Keno, Schwisow Construction, JR Motorsports, Philippi Electric, Risky's Sports Bar, Daubendiek TV & Appliance, Rolla Rena Skate Center Phantom Jet took home the win in the IMCA Hobby Stocks finally getting the monkey off his back from mechanical woes, to pick up win number one for the season. Vanlaningham, Fralin, Chab, and Borgman completed the top 5.

Josh Carpenter of Fairbury in his Diode Cable, Sasse Farms, and SideTrek Phantom Jet held off a very hard charging Todd Laflin for his 2nd win on the season in the IMCA Stock Cars. Laflin, Borgman, Griffith and Carmichael following across the line for the checkers.

Benji Legg of Beatrice in his Blackburn Technologies, Auto Shop Inc., Buss Stop, Jet Mod continues his season of domination picking up his 4th win in 5 nights at the speedway in the Limited Modifieds. Legg made a late race pass on Evers to pick up the win. Evers, Vanover Jr, Vanlaningham and Erb finished out the top 5.

Delmer Wells of Hallam, in his Crete Glass, Got Milk lettered by Extreme Motorsports Factory Stock took home the win for the 2nd week in a row held off a hard charging Jeff Watts. But to unfortunately lose his motor to a claim by Matt Post. Watts, Mittan, Schwartz, & Laflin round out the top 5.

Donnie Wilcox and Henry Blakemore from Beatrice in their Extreme Motorsports lettered cruiser took home their first win in the Crazy Crusiers. They were followed across the line by Schlabach/Schlabach, Meinke/Rosentreader, Little/Little, and Schlabach/Schlabach.
