Two Top Tens for Dover at Devil's Bowl

By Team Dover Media Relations

SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (October 16, 2007) -- Nebraska Sprint Car stand out Jack
Dover traveled to the Lone Star State over the weekend to compete with the
American Sprint Cars on Tour (ASCoT) at the 34th Winternationals at Devil's
Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, TX. When the weekend was over Jack and Team Dover
left Texas with two solid top ten feature finishes, two heat race wins and
one pole dash victory.

Crew chief Wayne Priddy had the car dialed in, engine builder Jay Eckley had
the power plant singing and Dover made the most of it. On Friday night Jack
picked up a win in the first heat and was high point earner out of the six
heats. Dover then raced to fifth place in the pole dash and seventh in the
preliminary A feature.

Saturday night started with a repeat of Friday with a first heat race win
and again was the high point earner from the heat races. Drawing the number
two spot for the pole dash, Dover got the jump on Wayne Johnson at the start
and led the five lap distance to earn the pole for the Winternationals A
feature. Against the top 360 Sprint Car drivers from across the nation, Jack
took a respectable sixth place finish.

"I'm really happy how the weekend went." Said Dover. "It would have been
nice to win one but I think we opened a lot of eyes. "It was great to have
two good runs and now we will concentrate on preparation for the Short Track
Nationals." Dover continued. "I'd like to thank Wayne (Priddy) and Randy
(Lawrence) for their help over the weekend and my family and sponsors for
all they do."

In the three part ASCS / Wesmar Racing Engine Challenge, Dover finished the
first twelve lap segment in sixteenth place and fourth place in the second
on Friday night. After a seventh place in the third and final segment on
Saturday, Dover finished seventh in the final points tally and was awarded a
set of Brodix cylinder heads.

Jack and Team Dover would like to thank their 2007 Sponsors: 3 D Auto
Transport Inc., RMS, Trail Performance Powder Coating, Keizer Aluminum
Wheels, Eckley Racing Engines, Eagle Chassis, Langfelt Overhead Doors,
Thorpes Body Shop, Chad Nolte Repair, NOS Energy Drink and Culver

Dover Geared Up For ASCS / Wesmar Racing Engines Challenge

By Team Dover Media Relations

SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (October 10, 2007) -- After a month off, Nebraska's Jack
Dover will hit the road once again with hopes of continuing his 360 Sprint
Car hot streak. Dover has claimed three feature wins and a runner up finish
in his last four races aboard his family owned, Eckley powered No. 53 Eagle.

This weekend Team Dover will make the trek south to compete in the 34th
Winter Nationals and ASCS / Wesmar Racing Engines Challenge at Devil's Bowl
Speedway in Mesquite, TX, on Friday and Saturday. Dover, at just 17 years of
age is the youngest of the twenty-six invitees competing in the ASCS /
Wesmar challenge.

"I'm really pumped up for this weekend." Stated Dover. "I'm looking forward
to returning to Devil's Bowl and working with Wayne Priddy at his home
track." Hopefully we can get the hot set up on the car and drive it to the
front." Priddy, a former crew member for Jason Johnson has been helping Team
Dover with advice throughout the 2007 season and will be the team's crew
chief for the weekend.

The ASCS/Wesmar Challenge is a three part invitational event featuring the
top ASCoT contenders and two invitees from each ASCS Region. The first two
segments will be run on Friday night, the final on Saturday night and the
top point earner will be awarded a new Wesmar Racing Engine.

Congress considers Concord hazardous?

From Charlotte.com: http://www.charlotte.com/109/v-print/story/314034.html

By LISA ZAGAROLI

NASCAR fans might seem rabid, but are they actually contagious?
Getting a hepatitis shot is standard procedure for travelers to parts of
Africa and Asia, but some congressional aides were instructed to get
immunized before going to Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord and the racetrack
in Talladega, Ala.

The House Homeland Security Committee planned a fact-finding trip about
public health preparedness at mass gatherings and decided to conduct the
research at two of the nation's most heavily attended sporting events,
NASCAR's Bank of America 500 event this weekend and the UAW-Ford 500 last
weekend.

Staff who organized the trips advised the NASCAR-bound aides to get a range
of vaccines before attending -- hepatitis A, hepatitis B, tetanus,
diphtheria and influenza.

Rep. Robin Hayes, a Republican from Concord, took umbrage when he heard
about it.

"I have never heard of immunizations for domestic travel, and as the
representative for Concord, N.C., I feel compelled to ask why the heck the
committee feels that immunizations are needed to travel to my hometown,"
Hayes said in an Oct. 5 letter to Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., who chairs
the Homeland Security panel.

"I have been to numerous NASCAR races, and the folks who attend these events
certainly do not pose any health hazard to congressional staffers or anyone
else," Hayes added.

Lauri Wilks, vice president of communications for Speedway Motorsports,
which owns Lowe's Motor Speedway and other tracks, said Wednesday that
immunizations aren't needed for the race.

"There's no health risk that we know of," she said, laughing. "We have never
had any disease outbreak during one of our weekends."

The four aides were asked to explore public health issues at events
involving large gatherings, such as how law enforcement and medical
personnel would respond to an act of terrorism or other emergency. Lawmakers
weren't part of the trip.

The staffers traveled to Talladega last weekend, and are scheduled to be at
Lowe's Motor Speedway this weekend.

Thompson said the immunizations are commonly recommended for people working
in hospitals, holding centers and similar locations.

"Since committee staff members are visiting hospital and other health-care
facilities available at or near these venues, including areas where groups
of people are detained before being transferred to other off-site
facilities, I believe that the recommendation (not requirement) that our
congressional staff receive these same immunizations was sound," Thompson
said in a letter responding to Hayes issued Wednesday.

"I am sure you would agree that providing immunizations to personnel
involved in public safety is good public health policy, and there is no need
to exclude staff from taking the preventative measures that the public
health community recommends -- regardless of why and where mass gatherings
are taking place," Thompson said in the letter.

Jim Walker, Alabama's director of homeland security, said the congressional
committee aides who visited Talladega worked hard. He said they were trying
to determine whether the state and federal emergency response system was
adequate to handle a situation at such a large event.

"I might have been a little skeptical about this visit coming in, but these
folks worked," Walker said.

He said the aides went on patrols with law enforcement, toured facilities
and interviewed first responders, hazardous materials teams and other
officials.

Walker said he hadn't recommended the immunizations, nor were they
necessary. He suggested a possible health risk to them was the voluminous
notes they took.

"I'm sure they needed to soak their wrists, they wrote so much," he said.

Trish Dover's Knoxville Mid-States 305 Sprint Championship Review

By Team Dover Media Relations

SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (October 3, 2007) -- This past weekends Knoxville
Mid-States 305 Sprint Championship proved to be a valuable learning
experience for Trish Dover and team. Three nights of racing in a row with
changing track conditions each night proved to be a challenge, but they came
away from Knoxville with three solid runs.

The Team Dover crew of Marc and Jack Dover, Dave Seddon, Randy Lawrence and
Michigan's Nate Devard, who joined the team for the weekend, gave Trish a
fast car on Thursday night and she made the most of it. A dominate heat race
win, her first at Knoxville Raceway would result in a front row outside
start for the 15 lap "A" feature. Dover took the led at the start and paced
the opening five laps but finished the night in third place and with a spot
on the podium.

With the No. 9T Eckley powered Eagle locked into Saturday's night finale,
second in Thursday qualifying points the crew used Friday night as a test
session and more valuable seat time. Starting sixth in the third heat Trish
ended up third at the finish in the six lap event. The feature would end
where it started with a twelfth place finish and the team set its sights on
the final night of racing.

In Saturday night's 20 lap Championship feature Dover was to start from the
fourth spot but pole sitter Rager Phillips scratched for the night moving
her to inside of the second row. Running a smooth and steady race Dover
ended the weekend with a fourth place finish behind Knoxville 360 regulars
Stacey Alexander and Jack Potter and 410 competitor Clint Garner.

"I'm a little disappointed not to get my first Knoxville feature win this
weekend." Dover commented. "But, we did end up with two top five finishes
and a spot on the podium Thursday night." I had the opportunity to race with
a full field of cars, against some great competitors and I feel it made me a
better driver."

Dover seemed to have made a lot of new fans over the weekend as well. With
the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals headlining the event many of
those waiting in line for autographs sported Late Model T-shirts and
jackets. For over an hour she signed autograph cards, chatted and had photos
taken with the crowd after the races.

"I'd like to thank all the great fans that have supported me throughout the
year and everyone that stopped by during the weekend and to all my sponsors
for helping make this possible." Dover concluded.
