Butler County Motorplex Results July 7

Butler County Motorplex: Butler County Motorplex had a full night of action scheduled with racing, fireworks and live band at the facility for the night.

Mike Marushak grabbed the lead and won the first of two Limited Late Model heat races. Rick Stolley finished second, Taylor Caldwell was third and Jeff Haase fourth. Travis Dickes won the second heat race. Beau Sheffield took third with Bob Milander and Pat Shanahan rounding out the top four.

IMCA Modified driver Daniel Neeman won the first of three heat races in the modified division. Johnny Saathoff finished second, Mike Stearns was third and Aaron Kobus fourth. Dylan Smith controlled the second IMCA Modified heat race with the win. Tom Svoboda was second, Todd Topil third and James Kleinheksel fourth. Mark Kaspar dominated the final modified heat race for the win. Mike Gaver took second followed by Chris Alcorn and Scott Bivens.

Brian Cudly found the fast way around the track in the first of two IMCA Hobby Stock heat races. Cudly took the win followed by Travis Runcie, Shane Hiatt and Nate Thompson. Brandon Kresha took the lead in heat number two for the win. Quinten Spragg finished second, Duane Schroeder third and Nick Topil was fourth.

Darrin Adamy controlled the IMCA Rehmer Auto Parts Stock Car heat race with the win. Josh Carpenter was second, Roger Eaton third and Doug Adamy was fourth.

Dan Alt won the Hornet heat race followed by Austin Brauner. The Hornet feature ended with the exact same results, Dan Alt got his sixth win for the season and Austin Brauner was second.

The IMCA Rehmer Auto Parts Stock Car feature found Darrin Adamy in control of the race. Darrin led the first eleven laps of the feature but then Mike Nichols took adavantage of a re-start in the race to take the lead. Nichols led the final four laps for the win. Darrin Adamy was second, Josh Carpenter third and Shane Stutzman fourth.


Brandon Kresha got the lead at the end of the IMCA Hobby Stock feature to collect his second win of the season as a rookie driver. Kresha won the race but went home without an engine as Nate Thompson claimed after the race was completed. Nick Topil moved up to finish second with Travis Runcie third and Rich Small was fourth.

Mike Marushak made it look easy as he took the lead in the Limited Late Model feature and cruised to victory. Taylor Caldwell was second, Travis Dickes third and Bob Milander got credit for fourth.

Chris Alcorn got the win in the IMCA Modified feature after escaping from damage in a crash with three laps remaining. Mark Kaspar finished second, Mike Stearns third and Dylan Smith was fourth. Fortunately there were no serious injuries to any of the drivers during the crashes.
