Wavelink Raceway Park Free Admission w/Food Bank Donation

With August 12th's races rained out, the event has been rescheduled for the following weekend, August 18-19.

An update to the food drive: We have opened the food drive/free grandstand admission up to BOTH Saturday, Aug. 18th and Sunday, Aug. 19th.

This weekend (Aug. 18-19), Wavelink Raceway Park, along with the Midwest Micro Sprint Association, will hold a canned food drive to benefit The Food Bank of Lincoln/LPS BackPack Program.

Everyone who donates a can of food or other non-perishable food item will get FREE grandstand admission for a full night of Go-Kart racing on Saturday night or Micro Sprint racing on Sunday night. Items on the “wish list” for the BackPack Program include:

18 oz. Grape Jelly
18 oz. Peanut Butter
26 oz. Spaghettios
11.5 oz. Juice concentrate (non frozen or refrigerated)
14 or 15 oz. boxes of Cheerios.
18 oz. cans of Fruit
1 pound package of Rice
32 oz. Complete Pancake Mix (just add water)
24 oz. bottles of Syrup
6 oz. cans of Tuna Fish (packed in water)
7.25 oz. Tuna Helper
16 oz. cans of Refried Beans

If you are not familiar with the BackPack program, please visit the Food Bank of Lincoln website for more information (http://lincolnfoodbank.org/backpack%20program.asp). It is really a great program and we are excited and proud to be involved in making it succeed!

So come one, come all, bring one (can), bring all (in your pantry) and join us for a great night of Micro Sprint racing and help out those that really need it!

When: Saturday, August 18th and Sunday, August 19th
Time: Hot Laps start at 6:30 p.m. (both nights)
Place: Wavelink Raceway Park, just ½ mile East of the I-80/Waverly interchange.
