Nine Features, Nine Winners At I-80

(Greenwood, Ne., 08/05/07) The NASCAR Whelen All American Series
Saturday night program is headed down the home stretch with only 2
more Saturdays on the schedule. On this night there were 9 features and
nine different winners; Dave Livingston and Jason Hobscheidt in the
Great Clips Late Models; Jason Cieslik in the Pro-Stocks; Scott Carlson
in the B-Mods; Nick Clifford in the 305 Sprint Cars; Jeff Joldersma in
the Pro-Hornets; Ryan Gladwin in the Novice Crate Late Models; Darrin
Hoegren and Alex Fink in the Novice Hornets.

The evening kicked off with the Make-up Crate Late Model Feature. Rick
Vanderheiden grabbed the early lead but was not able to hold it as Dave
Livingston came charging from his 5th place start to the lead in the 1st
2 laps. From there on it was Livingston all the way. Ron Tex Jr. came up
to challenge but ran out of laps to reel Livingston in. Brad Soll, Jason
Hobscheidt and Todd Morgan rounded out the top 5.

The make-up Novice Hornet feature was next and Alex Fink was up for
the challenge in winning his 2nd feature of the year. Fink is a rookie in this
class and leading the point standings. Hoegen finished 2nd ahead of Kennin
Colestock, Lynn Carlson and Dan Rasmussen.

The Pro Stock feature saw Terry Cleveland take the early lead with Doug
Stevenson following in 2nd. Jason Cieslik came up to challenge Cleveland
and they ran side by side until lap 8 when Cieslik took the lead and went on
for the win. Cleveland held on for 2nd ahead of Stevenson, Shawn Bulin and
Don Mohr.

The Pro Hornet feature saw Teresa Allen and Mike Kennedy battle for the
early lead. But Jeff Joldersma was on the move from his 6th row start and
challenging for the lead by lap 5. Steve McConnell was the man to beat as the
race wore on. But Joldersma chased him down and picked up the feature win.
McConnell held on for 2nd ahead of Dave Christensen, Pete Fink Jr. and
Kennedy. McConnells brother Will brought out the red flag on lap 4 when
he flipped in turn 3 after tangling with another car.

The Novice Crate Late Model feature was all Ryan Gladwin as he led from
start to finish in one of Scott Koskovich’s cars. It was his 5th feature win of the
year. Steven Saunders finished 2nd ahead of Lindsey Yost.

Dan Satriano took the early lead in the 305 Sprint Car feature. But he
Was no match for Nick Clifford. Clifford took the lead on lap 6 and
Went on to his 4th feature win of the season.

The B-Mod feature saw Scott Carlson take the early lead from his pole starting
position. Jim Hendricks ran 2nd for several laps before giving way to Jared
Hoefelman. Hoefelman grabbed the lead from Carlson on lap 7 but Carlson
took it back several laps later and captured his 5th win of the season.
Hoefelman, Harry Nixon, Hendricks and Floyd Richards.

In the 2nd Novice Hornet feature Darrin Hoegren lead from start to finish in
picking up his 4th win of the season. Colestock finished 2nd ahead of Fink,
Sara Preble and Tim Berghahn.

The 2nd Crate Late Model feature saw an early 4 car battle for the lead
between Rick Vanderheiden, Andrew Kosiski, Dwane Pospisil and Kent
Schimenti. But on lap 2 Todd Morgan took the lead. Jason Hobscheidt was
up to 2nd by lap 5 and took the lead on lap 11. Al Humphrey, who was back
from a 30 day suspension, moved to 2nd on lap 15 but ran out of laps chasing
Hobscheidt down in lapped traffic. Morgan held on for 3rd ahead of Dave
Livingston and Joe Kosiski.
