I-80 Championship Night and Demo Derby Saturday; Fan Appreciation Sunday

Greenwood, NE (August 13, 2007)-The Saturday NASCAR Whelen All American Series Champions will be crowned on Saturday, August, 18th, and following the championship races, cars will be smashed in the third demo derby of the year as Allstate Insurance presents the night’s action.

Going into the final night of the Saturday season, Jason Hobscheidt is leading the Great Clips Crate Late Model standings with 435 points. Following Hobscheidt is Dave Livingston who is 56 points behind the leader. Leading the Ty’s Outdoor Pro Stock division is Shawn Bulin, and Jared Hoefelman is leading the Midas B Mod division. Justin Soule is leading the Stereo West Auto Toys Pro Hornet division and Alex Fink is leading the Stereo West Auto Toys Novice Hornet division. Rounding out the point leaders is Nick Clifford in the Midwest Linings 305 Sprint division, and Ryan Gladwin is leading the Novice Crate Late models.

On Sunday, August 19th fans can see the fast paced action of the NASCAR Whelen All American Series for free with a coupon from their area Dodge Dealers. Simply go to any Dodge Dealership in Nebraska and western Iowa for your free admission coupons. Competing that night will be the Dodge Super Late Models, City Weekly Grand Nationals, Modifieds and Hobby Stocks.

I-80 Speedway is located off I-80 at exit 420 between Omaha and Lincoln and is part of the Nebraska Raceway Park complex, which also includes the Little Sunset Speedway go-kart track and Soaring Edge Motocross Park. I-80 Speedway is home to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) on Saturday and Sunday nights; the ONLY track in the United States to hold two nights of NASCAR-sanctioned weekly racing. The Speedway hosts events from April through September.
