This weekend at I-80

ENGINE BUILDING CONTEST AND CRAFTSMAN TOOLS HIGHLIGHT ACTION PACKED WEEKEND OF RACING

Greenwood, Nebraska (August 23, 2006) This Saturday, August 26th, Cookies Food Products presents the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series and Kids Candy Grab. Fans will see action-packed racing in the Chase for the Championship featuring the Crate Late Models, Certified Transmission Pro Ams, B-Modifieds, Tobacco Free Nebraska Pro Hornets and Tobacco Free Nebraska Novice Hornets. Also on tap, the speedway will host for the first time the Southeast Community College Diamler-Chrysler College Automotive Program Engine Building contest at intermission with special scholarships totaling $1,500 being awarded to the contestants in honor of Larry Protaskey, a long time official of the Speedway who recently passed away.

As a special bonus to I-80 Speedway racers on this night, Craftsman Tools will give each driver a $5 gift card and each feature winner will be presented with $125 in gift card good at area Sears stores. With the added Craftsman Tools bonus cards the Late Models will be racing for $525 to win, the Certified Transmission Pro-Ams $325 to win, the B-Mods $250 to win and the pro Hornets $185 to win.

Ticket prices for Saturday's events are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and students, and kids ages 10 and under are FREE. The grandstands open at 4:30pm, hot laps are scheduled for 6:30pm and the racing action set to begin at 7:00pm.

Craftsman Tools will present the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series on Sunday, August 27th. All drivers will receive a $5 gift card good for Craftsman Tools at local Sears stores and Craftsman Tools will provide $125 in gift cards to each A-feature winner. With the Craftsman certificates added, the Dodge Super Late Models will compete for $775, NRP Grand Nationals for $375, Home Pride Modifieds for $525, and Stereo West Auto Toys for $350 which also includes Tom and Tiff's Family Restaurant $100 bonus! The Dr. Danger Daredevil show scheduled for the evening has been cancelled.

Admission on Sunday is adults $10, seniors and students $8 and kids 10 and under are always FREE. On Sunday the pit gate opens at 4pm, the grandstand gate opens at 4:30pm, with hot laps at 6pm and racing at 6:30pm.

Upcoming events at I-80 Speedway include the Labor Day Weekend Extravaganza featuring the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series with double Late Model Features on Saturday, September 2nd. Nebraska-Iowa Supply nd Sunoco Race Fuels will present the second day of the Labor Day Weekend Extravaganza featuring the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series with Double Late Model Features on Sunday, September 3rd.
