Friends For Johna Benefit

Shortly after celebrating her sons first birthday and her third wedding anniversary, Lincoln native Johna (Berner) Kozak was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. She beat it once, but in June 2006 she suffered a relapse and is need of a marrow transplant to beat it again. Kuck Motorsports, friends of the Berner/Kozak family, are hosting the marrow drive this Saturday from 10am to 2pm at 2251 Humphrey Ave.

In addition to helping Johna and others like her, everyone who comes out to register with the National Marrow Donor Program is invited to see the Kuck's fabulous private car collection, including one of the two original Batmobiles, the one and only Batboat, and a huge collection of classic and new models, including "The Ferrari"!. Join us this Saturday to help save a life! The test itself just a swab of your cheek cells. To help cover lab costs, there is a $25 fee to join the National Marrow Donation Program. You also must be between the ages of 18-60 and in good health.

Read Johna's story and find out more about marrow donation by visiting www.johnasjourney.com or www.marrow.org. If you need directions to Kuck's visit Johna's website for a map. Thank you!
