(GREENWOOD NEB., 08/20/06) The teenage phenom Bryant Goldsmith raced from the eighth starting position to win the Dodge Super Latemodel "A" feature at the I-80 Speedway. J.C. Wyman and Ron Tex Jr. would each pick up their first feature win of the season, as Jesse Sobbing took his second win in a row on 3M night.
The 25 lap NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series "A" main event would see the #26JR of Corey Zeitner take the early lead. Zeitner would maintain the top spot, but the car on the move was the #24 of Bryant Goldsmith. Goldsmith, who started fourth row outside, would make his way up to third by lap six. He would then launch by Zeitner for the lead at the half way point. Goldsmith would race to a straightaway lead until lap 22, thats when the yellow would fly for Robbie Andersen who hit the front stretch wall. Under the yellow, the current NWRS National Points Leader Joe Kosiski headed pit side with a flat left front tire. Kosiski would come back to finish 13th. Goldsmith would survive another late race caution and go on to take his first victory at the I-80 Speedway. Scott Koskovich would have a great second place run, he would be followed by Ed Kosiski, Leon Zeitner, and Billy Leighton Jr.
The Home Pride Modified feature event would be a caution fest. The 18 lap feature would have seven yellows in the first eleven laps. During all the yellows J.C. Wyman would inherit the lead. Wyman ended up being the class of the field as he was unchallanged for the top spot. With the win, Wyman jumped from ninth in points to inside the top five. Bob Zoubek, Jerimiah Sillman, Jeremy Leiting, and Stacey Wilhelm rounded out the top five.
Ron Tex Jr. would take the lead early in the the Grand National "A" feature. The race would go 20 laps straight and Tex would take the feature win over Gary Leapley and Joey Bauer Jr. Points leader Dave Livingston finished fourth with Brad Perdue taking fifth.
The 15 lap Stereo West Auto Toys Hobby stock feature saw Ron Allen take the early lead on lap one. By lap two, 12th place starter and current points leader Jesse Sobbing would take the lead. Sobbing would then never look back as he took his fourth win of the season, and his second in a row. Sobbing would also receive the $100 Tom & Tiff's Family Restaurant bonus. Jerod Weston and Jeremy Swanson would finish second and third after they both started in the seventh row. Josh True and Tom Myers rounded out the top five.
