LINCOLN, Neb. (Aug. 22) – Three IMCA divisions comprise the Friday, Sept. 1 race program at the 14th annual Nebraska State Fair Championship special.
Sanctioned Modifieds, Stock Cars are Hobby Stocks will be featured at State Fair Park Raceway in Lincoln. Modifieds vie for $1,000 to win and a minimum of $100 to start the main event. First place in the Stock Car feature pays $400 and the Hobbies run for a $250 top prize.
IMCA national, regional and Smiley’s Racing Products state points will be given, along with numerous awards to designated place finishers and non qualifiers. Heat winners will receive prize packages from Speedway Motors.
The Modified winner also joins the ballot for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational, to be held during the 2007 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. Pit passes are $20. Admission is $5, with no charge for kids six years of age and younger.
