First Time Ever Non-Wing 410 Sprint Bandits Nationals and
ASCS 360 Midwest Region Sprint Cars Race Same Night at I-80 Speedway!
Greenwood, Nebraska (August 1, 2006) The O'Reilly Sprint Bandits Tour N' Topless 410 Sprint Cars and ASCS Midwest Region 360 Sprint Cars are set to invade I-80 Speedway at Nebraska Raceway Park on Tuesday, August 15th.The event is part of a five night swing that kicks off at I-80 Speedway for the Non-Winged 410 Sprints. It is also the first time both sanctions will be in action together.
Last year's winner in the Huskerland Non-Wing Sprint Car Nationals was the 2b of Levi Jones with Bud Kaeding, Dickie Gaines, Jon Stanbrough, and Dave Darland following.
The last time the ASCS 360 Sprint Cars made an appearance, 34 cars were in attendance with Jake Peters taking the A feature win with Mike Chadd, Jack Dover, Rick Ideus, and Chuck Swenson following.
"We're pleased to be able to put this first time ever event together for our fans and the drivers" said Promoter and General Manager Tom Gutowski. “Seeing winged and wingless sprint cars racing on the same night has really created lots of excitement among the fans and drivers” he added. The event will also feature the Trail Performance/Trade Center Automotive 305 Sprint Cars, Tobacco Free Nebraska Pro Hornets with the Wacky Trailer races rounding out the evening.
Trailers must be: a camper, boat and trailer, pop-up camper or utility trailer. Utility trailers must have something on them like an old outhouse or something unique. The winner is the last vehicle that still has its trailer attached and/or crosses the finish line first after the prescribed number of laps. $100 will go to the most popular/entertaining entry as judged by the fans!
Discounted advance purchase tickets are available by calling the General Office at 402-342-3453. Advance purchase tickets are; Adults $15, Seniors (62+) & Students (11-17) $10, and Children (10 & under) FREE. Advance purchase tickets are available until 5pm Monday, August 14th. Day of Show tickets will be; Adults $20, Seniors & Students $15, and Children (10 & under) FREE! Pit passes are $25.
The Pit Gate will open at 4:30pm, Grandstands at 5:30pm, Hot Laps at 6:45 pm with racing set to begin at 7:30pm.
