Laflin Scores Big in IMCA Stock Cars

Todd Laflin of Beatrice scored his 1st win in the IMCA Stock Cars at Beatrice speedway on Saturday April 22. He took the lead away from Josh Carpenter and then went on to hold off all challengers in his Jet Racing, Risky’s Sports Bar, Roeber Construction, Jim’s Carpet, Side Trek, Van’s Waterproofing and lettering by Extreme Motorsports 2006 Jet Racing Phantom took sweep both the heat and the A Feature. Heats were won by Todd Laflin and Eric Rempel.

Johnny Saathoff of Beatrice took the lead late in the IMCA Modified Feature then held off challengers to take home his second win of 2006. He took the lead from Dan Bohlmeyer late then fended off all challengers to take home the win in his Jet Racing, Tru-coil Springs, Chase Decals, Jr Motorsports, Pinnacle Bank and Toobies Lumber Jet Mod. Heats were won by Jordan Grabouski, Dan Nelson and Tom Petracek.

Matt Fralin of Beatrice finally got that elusive first win in his racing career in the IMCA Hobby Stocks holding off Justin Fritzson over the final few laps to score the big win. Fralin in his Littleman Chassis Service, The Rail and Redline Race Graphics Littleman Chassis scored a very emotional win and clean sweep. Heat winners were Matt Fralin, Justin Fritzson and Ryan Roschewski.

Benji Legg of Beatrice took his Jet Mod sponsored by The Rail, Blackburn Technologies, Auto Shop Inc, The Buss Stop and lettered by Extreme Motorsports Limited Modified to victory lane in dominating fashion. He started 16th in the A Feature and took too the top side of the race track started mowing the competitors down and ran away with the win which was his 2nd in as many nights in 2006 at the speedway. Heat Winners were Craig Evers, Tyler Snyder and Nick Warnke.

Jeff Watts of Wymore took his Jet Racing, Redline Racing Graphics, Weyer Repair, Reedy Machine and Fab and Watts Salvage Jet Phantom to victory lane in the Factory Stocks. With the win Watts completed the clean sweep on the night. Heat winners were Jeff Watts and Cary Ames.

The Cruiser team of Jeff and Darrell Schlabach of Hanover KS took the win in commanding fashion in the Schalbach Plumbing, Schroller Auto Parts and lettered by Orion Racing Graphics H20 Cruiser. Heat Winners were Mick/Schroller and Laflin/Christlieb.
