Butler County Motorplex 4-21-06

"The racing season at Butler County Motorplex began Saturday April 21 with a night full of excitement for the fans and drivers alike. The fans arrived to find a face lift in many areas including a new ticket booth to replace the building destroyed by wind last summer.

Dave Trauernicht wheeled his IMCA Modified to victory in the first of three heat races. Mike Gaver was second, Adam Kobus third and Jim Krupicka fourth. Bob took the win in heat number two as last year’s points champion Jason Gaver finished second, Robert Brinkman third and Brent Schlake was fourth. Jonny Saathoff led the way in the final heat as Aaron Pellan, Chris Alcorn and James Kleinheksel rounded out the top four.

The Limited Late Models first heat win went to Les Siebert with Jim Johnson second, Bob Milander third and Mark Egger fourth. Jeff Hayes won the second heat as Marty Steinbeck, Travis Dickes and Mike Marushak rounded out the top four.

In the IMCA Hobby Stocks first of three heats Kyle Vanover took the honors for the win. Derek Thiem was second, Pat Huggins third and Rudy Brunkhorst fourth. Last year’s points champion Nick Topil took the honors followed by Rich Small, Brian Cudly and Brandon Kresha. Heat number three victory went to Matt Fralin as Ron Allen took second, Max Harder third and Duane Schroeder was fourth.

The Rehmer Auto Parts IMCA Stock Car division only had one heat but it was an exciting race. Eric Rempel took the win as Shane Stutzman finished second, Mike Nichols third and Doug Adamy was fourth.

A new class starting this year is the Hornets. Brandon Wergin of Milford won the heat race followed by Chuck Wergin and the Butler County Landfill car of Austin Brauner. Full Story - Butler County Motorplex
