Bryan Racing tidbits

Rhonda Bryan, mother of Nick Bryan, driver of the #6 sprint car at Eagle sent me this talking about the ups and downs of racing and shows the community spirit of weekly racing. This is what the show is about.

I'd love to have more of these letters...feel free to send them to me: jason@heartlandracenews.com

Hi Jason,

Thought you might be interested to know some tidbits from our race team! Not sure how to put this into the right words but if we weren't having bad luck, we would of had no luck at all.......amazing how things turn around....

With two new sponsor's and a new Eagle Chassis and new color scheme gearing up for the new 2006 racing season opener at Eagle this is how things have gone.

On the night before Autograph we get the motor back, bolted it in and attended the event. The following Sat after the guys finished the plumbing and fired up the motor only to find we had major motor's problems. Motor was pulled and took back to the builder. Needless to say we just got the motor back this last Friday April 21st.

After a bout with the flu this week, Nick headed out to the track. Pushed off to warm up the motor & his drive shaft broke. Special Thanks goes to Mike Boston for loaning Nick and Bernie a drive shaft. Without Mike doing a good deed Nick's first win would have not been possible. Plagued with problems the team kept busy working to make sure they were going to race! They got the rear-end back in and off to the heat race. Nick got a cut in his tire at the end of the heat, also had to put on new valve cover casket's due to oil leaking. The luck of the draw gave Nick the pole on the B feature!! Nick knew his left rear was going down. The left rear was going flat when he took the checkers for his "FIRST" ever victory.

Kudos to Mike Boston for loaning the drive shaft and to the team member's whose effort's helped Nick win his first race!! Nick was disappointed in not being able to complete the "A" feature.....better luck next time!

Rhonda
