By Scott Wisdom

With 104 cars checking into the pits and a large crowd in the grandstand at Beatrice Bpeedway on Opening Night, the racing was action packed with several racing grooves.

David Trauernicht of Beatrice took his Seneca Sanitation, Larry Shaw Race Cars, Holtmeier Farms, Tank It Food and Fuel IMCA Modified to the victory after He, Greg Metz and Johnny Saathoff put on a very entertaining and crowd pleasing show for 25 laps. Trauernicht, Metz, Saathoff, Brian Foote and Brent Schlake rounded out the front 5.

Benji Legg took the win in the Limitied Modifieds in the Auto Shop, The Rail, The Buss Stop Jet Mod after surviving several late race yellows. He was followed across the line by Tom Vanover Jr, Mike Snyder, David Smith and Mark Saathoff to round out the top 5.

Lance Borgman took control of the IMCA Stock Cars at the drop of the green flag and never looked back and he went green to checkered just as the Main Event did. He was followed across the line by Eric Rempel, Shane Stutzman, David Murk and Dustin Schmidt completed the Top 5.

Roy Armstrong picked up where he left off in the 2005 Season in the Factory Stocks by charging to front early in the race and withstood any challengers to take home the Opening Night Win. He was chased across the line by Jeff Watts, Delmar Wells, Neal Mittan and Mike Schwartz.

Eric Chab won a very exciting IMCA Hobby Stock race. He withstood several challengers including a very hard last lap charge by Jesse Vanlaningham. Chab, Vanlaningham, Chad Borgman, Aron DeWalt and Adam Armstrong rounded out the Top 5.
