Jul 03 2007 - BLACK 55 DQ’D FOR 6/30; SUSPENSION AND FINE IMPOSED.
The following penalty is being assessed after post tech for the Crate Late Model division on Saturday, June 30:
#55 Crate Late Model driver Al Humphrey is being disqualified for the June 30, 2007 Crate Late Model heat and feature race for failure to pass the fuel test conducted during post-tech. This technical violation will result in a 30-day suspension from the Saturday Crate Late Model program for driver Al Humphrey, car owner Mike Merrill, and the black #55 Crate Late Model race car/team. In addition, a $1,000 fine has been assessed for violation of the rule listed below.
SECTION 1: CRATE ENGINE RULES
F. Gasoline can be premium grade unleaded pump gas or a spec racing fuel to be announced. No alcohol, ethanol or oxygen bearing additives allowed.
A representative from the #55 has notified the office that they will be protesting this ruling.
