Larkins, Borgman and Vanlaningham Storm to Nebraska State Fair Championships

LINCOLN, NE (Sept. 1, 2006) - For the second year in a row a large car count was found at the Nebraska State Fair Races with 111 cars checking in the gate.

The extremely large crowd was treated to some very close and exciting racing throughout all heats and features. Kevin Larkins of Greenwood,NE stormed through the field in his Speedway Motors, Burke Show Cattle,The Alley Bar and Carpetland sponsored Lucky Mod to take home the 2006 State Fair Championship in the IMCA Modifeds.

Bob Zoubek, Jordan Grabouski, David Trauernicht and Jeff Jones completed the front 5.

Lance Borgman of Beatrice, NE continued his impressive 2006 Race Season in the IMCA Stock Cars taking the win in his Blue Valley Door, Griffeth Transmission, Penner Insurance, RL Tieman Construction, D'Sign Shop sponsored Intimidator Chassis.

He was chased across the line by Darrin Adamy, Doug Adamy, Jeff Joldersma and Lloyd Meeske.

Kevin Vanlaningham of Beatrice, Ne took home the top honors in the IMCA Hoppy Stocks in his D'Sign Shop sponsored Spyder Race Car. He was followed across the line by Jesse Sobbing, Rich Small, Duane Schroeder and Eric Chab.
