Chapman Claims ASCS Midwest Region Championship

From Rocket Motorsports

LINCOLN, Neb. (September 2006) - Toby Chapman and the Rocket Motorspots team put the finishing touches on the 2006 ASCS Midwest Region championship Friday night at US 36 Raceway in Osbourn, MO. Chapman needed only to take the green flag for the A feature to secure the series title. A win in the fourth heat race would result in a second row inside starting spot for the 25 lap feature and a strong fourth-place finish wrapped up the championship.

The 2006 ASCS Midwest Region schedule consisted of thirteen races at eight different tracks throughout Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. The Rocket Motorspots team proved that tenacity pays off by making every Midwest Region event, picking up the feature win at US 36 Raceway on June 23 along with seven top-ten and three top-five finishes. The championship is the first for Toby Chapman, the Rocket Motorsports team and for car owners Rick and Michele Bowers.

Rocket Motorsports would like to thank all the sponsors that made the 2006 season possible: Select Auto, Select Auto Body, Trade Center Automotive, Chez's Place, Arbor Garage, Jones Automotive, Carberry Construction, Backlund Plumbing, Eckley Racing Engines, Big John's Auto Glass, Swanco, CMH Construction, Pat Novak at Hairington Salon and Rains Hardwood Floors Inc.
