ASCS Midwest Region at U.S. 36 Raceway on Friday

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (July 7, 2008) - The American Sprint Car
Series Midwest Region is set to take to the lightning-fast high banks of
U.S. 36 Speedway near Cameron, MO, for the only time this season on Friday
night.

Friday's card at U.S. 36 Raceway marks the fourth event of the season for
the ASCS Midwest Region following a pair of events in conjunction with the
O'Reilly ASCoT National series as well as a McCool Junction card.

Grain Valley, Missouri's Brian Brown, who added his tenth career ASCS
Midwest Region feature win on June 27 at McCool Junction, enters Friday's
card with a 20-point lead over Nebraska's Jack Dover in the series
championship points chase.

Reigning series champion Natalie Sather of Fargo, ND, is another six points
back in third, with 2005 ASCS Midwest Region champion Billy Alley (Lincoln,
NE) and Mike Boston (Crete, NE) rounding out the current top five.

Friday's racing action atop the high-banked, 3/8-mile U.S. 36 Raceway clay
oval is set to fire off at 8:00 p.m.

U.S. 36 Raceway is located 50 miles northeast of Kansas City on I-35 to Exit
54, then 6.3 miles west on U.S. 36, then 0.1 mile north on SR 33. For more

The ASCS Midwest Region is currently slated for nine nights of action at
eight different tracks throughout Nebraska and the immediate surrounding
area stretching into Kansas, Missouri and Iowa.

The nation's most prominent Sprint Car sanctioning body with a dozen
different Regions throughout the United States in addition to the O'Reilly
American Sprint Cars on Tour National series, the American Sprint Car
Series' (ASCS) 17th year of activity will include approximately 250 nights
of racing at more than 100 different race tracks throughout 28 different
states and Canada.
