JMS Awards Banquet Recap

YORK, NEB (Feb 2, 2008) - The 2007 Champions of Junction Motor Speedway and
a few hundred of their friends got together at the Holiday Inn in York
Nebraska. JMS track Announcer Wayne Dake was in control of the micro phone
as the Awards began. First up were the Top Ten in the Holiday Inn of York
sponsored 4 cylinder FWD class.10-Andy Grimes 9-Alex Koehler 8-Jeremy Foos
7-Caleb Hetrick 6-Michael Wiese 5-Ryan Pedersen 4-Andy Sole 3-Sam Wiarda
2-Troy Hofmann #1 2007 Holiday Inn of York 4 cylinder FWD Champion Chuck
Wergin.

A few more pranks from Wayne Dake and some more door prizes than back to the
Awards. The Cruiser class up next, these cars are Wild, big block motors and
out of control.10-Edd Huxoll/Steve Cordis 9-Bill Lewis/Jim Lewis 8-Teri
Aspegren/Steph Aspegren 7-John Miller/Bill Slezak 6-Greg Ekeler/John Miller

Jacobitz/Josh Jacobitz. A few more pranks from MC Wayne Dake and it was back
to the Awards.

The Hobby Stock Class was next, with only 12 points being the difference of
first loser and Champion.10-Todd Slama 9-Levi Gunn 8-Tyler Easterday 7-Shane
Schneider 6-Jeff Timmermans 5-Micah Veleba 4-Brandon Wergin 3-Jerod
Timmermans 2-Jason Wilkinson #1 2007 Hobby Stock Champion Brent Kassik.

With the Street Stocks up next,10-Jason Van Winkle 9-Bryce Taylor 8-Bryon
Boersen 7-Herb Slough 6-Ronald L. Veleba 5-Brent Drohman 4-Mel Franz 3-Shane
Stutzman 2-Jason Wilkinson #1 2007 Street Stock Champion Andy Wilkinson.
Andy's win over his cousin Jason was by only 30 points.

Up next were the popular Modifieds. 10-Mike Densberger 9-John Lee 8-Mannix
Winningham 7-Jeremiah Sillman 6-Scott Styskal 5-Scott Smith 4-Wade Cross
3-Shane Stutzman 2-Justin Bell #1 2007 Modified Champion Dean Wilkinson, was
one of many Championships for Dean.
The Rookies Awards went to, 4 Cylinder FWD-Sam Wiarda, Cruiser-Teri
Aspegren/Steph Aspegren, Hobby Stock-Jerod Timmermans, Late Models-Billy
Koons Jr. No Rookies in Street Stocks or Modifieds. With all the door prizes
gone we are down to the last class of Champions.

The NAPA Auto Parts Late Models. JMS would like to thank NAPA Auto Parts of
Omaha, Geneva, Edgar, Aurora, and Sutton for there support. 10-Chad Humston
9-Billy Koons Jr. 8-David Easterday 7-Mike Marushak 6-Denton Buller 5-Tom
Svoboda 4-Alex Humphrey 3-Don Smith, Jr. 2-Robbie Andersen #1 2007 NAPA Auto
Parts Late Model Champion John Bridges. John informed everyone that he is
retired from racing, not really by choice as he has some severe back
problems.

After some fun with Street Stock Champion Andy Wilkinson and his wife, all
eyes were on Junction Motor Speedway owner Delmar Friesen as he entered the
Ballroom dressed in a NASCAR OFFICIAL uniform, on stage with Delmar is
George Silbermann the Managing Director of Racing for NASCAR. JMS has gone
NASCAR. Delmar and Mr. Silbermann informed the group about the new NASCAR
WHELEN All-American Series for the crate motor and grand national Late
Models to run in this great series. JMS is now one of the almost 60 NASCAR
Home Tracks. With over a 100 cars each week and now NASCAR the 2008 season
will be a record breaker. BE THERE!
