I-80 Speedway to host Midwest-Northern Plains Shootout

Greenwood, NE (March 9, 2007) - The American Sprint Car Series Midwest and
Northern Plains Regions square off once again at I-80 Speedway on Friday
April 13, 2007 and Saturday, April 14, 2007. Joining the ASCS Sprint Cars
on Saturday night will be the stars and 360 Sprint Cars of the NCRA making
this a weekend of racing that Midwest sprint car fans don't want to miss.
Also on tap for Friday's show will be the Pro Stocks (Pro Ams/IMCA Stock
Cars), as well as the growing 305 Sprint Car class. This race will be the
first night of points for the I-80 305 Sprints.

"With this weekend being the season opener for both the ASCS Midwest and
Northern Plains Region 360 Sprints, and with the addition of the NCRA on
Saturday, we could see nearly 70 sprint cars compete," said Mac McSpeed,
Track Spokesperson. "We're pleased that we can bring such a high caliber
of 360 sprint car racing to our area, and also treat the fans to the
excitement of some of our weekly classes."

The Northern Plains Region is expected to bring a contingent of more than
20 drivers from the North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota area, with
the Midwest Region attracting all the top contenders throughout Nebraska,
Iowa and portions of Missouri and Kansas.

Among the Midwest Region representatives will be Lincoln's Toby Chapman,
who is the 2006 Midwest Region champion, and Jack Dover, Mike Chadd and
Rick Ideus.

The ASCS Northern Plains contenders will include the 2006 Champion Chuck
Swenson, along with other 2006 point finishers Eric Lutz, Curt Lund and
Lee Grosz.

Two-time national NCRA champion Garry Lee Maier of Cimarron, Kansas, leads
the contingent of NCRA forces into the event, with 56 career victories.
Other NCRA contenders include J.D. Johnson, Mike Peters, and Jake Martens,
all Top 5 Points finishers in 2006.

Friday Night racing action is slated to get under way at 7:00pm with pit
gates opening at 4:00pm, grandstands opening at 5:00pm with hot laps at
6:00pm. Saturday night racing action is set to begin at 6:30pm with pit
gates opening at 3:30 and grandstands at 4:30pm with hot laps at 5:30pm.
