I-80 Test and Tune and Hornet Battle Royal May 6

I-80 Speedway has a Test and Tune scheduled for this Sunday, May 6th from
1-4 p.m. that is for ALL classes. The price for the pits is $10 with a
NASCAR License, $20 without. Price for registered I-80 Speedway Novice
Classes and 305 Sprints is $10 with your hard card pass. Hard card pass will
be given to you the first time you are at the track with your car and if you
are registered. Grandstand admission is free. Pit gates open at 11:30 am.

Immediately after practice, The Stereo West Auto Toys will have a 50 lap
Battle Royale for $200 to win. Drivers must register by 3:30 p.m. and will
draw for starting position. Entry fee is $15, plus a pit pass.

During the 50 lap Battle Royale, yellow flag laps will be counted until
there are 10 laps left in the race. If a driver causes two yellow flags,
they will be sent to the pits.

Eagle Raceway 4/28 - Boston, Alcorn, VanLaningham and Rhiley take Spring Fling Wins

America's Home Track, Eagle Raceway's Spring Fling, presented by Auto
Trans Matic, started this week's program under a sunny sky on a balmy
spring afternoon. That quickly turned to a cool evening with a large
crowd on hand to watch yet another great night of racing.

All told, there were 129 cars that checked into the pits to participate
in 14 heats, 4 B Features and 4 A-Mains. The heats were run with very
little trouble, but once the B Features started there were numerous
incidents.

Once the second Monster Energy Drink Modified B started, the first of
several major accidents on the night occurred when Steve Sheppard lost
control and ran nearly head-on into the backstretch wall coming out of
turn 2. After being fitted with a neck brace and being checked over by
the emergency crew he was released. Sheppard said afterwards that
although he didn't think he was seriously injured he was beginning to
feel a twinge running down his back.

In the Stereo West Auto Toys IMCA Sport Compact B-Main there was a minor
incident when the #69 of Anthony White rolled his racer in turn 1.

In the Valentino's IMCA Hobby Stock Feature there was a large melee in
turns 1 and 2 on the very first lap, involving numerous cars. On the
restart the 8C of Chad Anderson took the lead. Clint Holman had moved
into 2nd place behind Anderson while running the high groove. With only
9 laps left, defending Modified Champion Chris Alcorn had moved up to
third from his 9 row starting spot after transferring out of his B
Feature. That same lap, Anderson spun in turn 4, bringing out yet
another caution. Within 2 laps of restarting, Alcorn had raced his way
into 1st place, and managed to hold off his competitors and win another
A Feature.

In the Stereo West Auto Toy's IMCA Sport Compact main event, there was a
large crash at the backstretch entrance to the pits. Altogether 4 cars
were involved, resulting in the driver of the #10j Doug Lyons being
extricated from his racer and being knocked unconscious and being
transported to Bryan-LGH West in Lincoln. On the initial restart, Jason
Tavlock rolled his racer over in turn 3, resulting in a fire in the
engine compartment. When the race was started again, last years Sport
Compact Points Champion Dan Riley moved into first place and held on for
the victory.

The Budweiser Championship 360 Main Event saw young driver Trevor
Grossenbacher roll his car betweens turn 1 and 2 on the 6th lap. Initial
leader Josh Riggins held the lead until lap 9 when Toby Chapman drove
his #84 around him. 5 laps later, the #30 of Joe Miller rolled his
sprinter in turn #4. By lap 17, Mark Pace had moved into the second
position and the next lap Mike Boston moved up to third from the outside
of row #5. Shortly thereafter he jumped into second.

Chapman and Boston fought tooth and nail until the finish, which saw
Boston edge Chapman at the finish line by the slimmest of margins. The
actual outcome had to be determined by transponder readings.

Afterwards, Mike said he was more than happy with the win. "I actually
would have settled for second place, because I think Toby had the better
car tonight" he said. "This was a great way to welcome our new sponsors
Subway, Cornhusker Racing and the One-Eyed Dog Saloon. "I also want to
thank Eckley Racing Engines for the new ASCS motor they just built for
us. It definitely helped with the win", Mike related.

The Valentino's IMCA Hobby Stock A Feature saw Kevin VanLaningham jump
to the lead on the first lap and never look back. At times he enjoyed
almost a half-lap lead.

When asked about his victory, Kevin said "We had another good run, just
like last week. But, if you use your head, avoid the wrecks and trust
fate you'll do great". "Without luck, you have nothing. I'm going with
my luck, and just hoping to have fun".

When asked if he planned to run for the points championship at Eagle
this year, Kevin stated "After racing at Beatrice for the last 8 years,
we decided to come to Eagle this year and just have fun. Eagle is a very
laid back place, and it's always enjoyable racing here". "It was kind of
weird driving up here to race, and seeing all those cars going the other
way to run at Beatrice" Kevin said, adding "But as I said, this year
it's for fun and Eagle's always fun".

Grabouski, Evers, Armstrong, Chab and Atkinson/Dobrovolny take Opening
Night Honors at Beatrice Speedway

Jordan Grabouski of Beatrice continued his impressive 2007 race season by
picking up the opening night win in the IMCA Modifieds at Beatrice
Speedway. Grabouski took his Northeast Auto, Redline Race Graffix, Novotny
Ag, Yancy's Automotive, Reedy Machine and Fab sponsored Billsbuilt
modified to an impressive victory over Dan Nelson, Greg Metz, Jordy Nelson
and Lance Borgman

Craig Evers of Beatrice took top honors in the Limited Modifieds in his
Blue Valley Door, The Buss Stop, Jet Racing, Penner Insurance, Evers
Farms,and GNC sponsored Littleman Chassis. He led Gary Saathoff, Benji
Legg, Ron Karpisek and Justin Jurgens across the finish line.

Adam Armstong of Beatrice took home the win in the Factory Stocks in his
Armstrong Racing Chassis he was followed across the line by his father,
Roy Armstrong, Ronda Mewes, Aaron Roth and Lisa Wagner.

Eric Chab of DeWitt took home a dominating win in the IMCA Hobby Stocks in
his Hair All About It and Miller Lite Sponsored Chassis. He led Chad
Borgman, Max Harder, Aron DeWalt and Bill Parde too the checkers.

The Waterville Cruiser team of Les Atkinson and Darcy Dobrovolny inherited
the lead when the 73 of Dallas Dobrovolny and Trent Becker had mechanical
failure while leading. They then held of the teams of Meinke/Meinke,
Little/Little, Ambrose/Ambrose and Popelka/VanNortwick.

Rain updates - Blackbird Bend is on, Shelby County practice off

Blackbird Bend Speedway - It is Friday, April 27th we are racing at
Blackbird Bend Speedway, Onawa, IA. With the high winds, the track is drying
out so races will resume. Pit gate opens 5:30pm, admission gate 6:00pm and
racing at 7:30pm. We will be running all 5 divisions: Knoepfler Chevrolet
Late Models, CasinOmaha IMCA Modifieds, Northern Auto Parts IMCA
Hobbystocks, Sign Masters IMCA Sport Mods and Franks Asphalt Lil Enjuns.

session because of the rain this week.

I-80 / Total Performance Parts Rising Stars

Greenwood, Nebraska (April 24, 2007) - The next generation of superstars in
local racing will be showcased in a project spearheaded by I-80 Speedway and
Total Performance Parts: The Total Performance Parts Rising Stars. The Total
Performance Parts Rising Stars are weekly drivers at I-80 Speedway between
the ages of 16 and 30 who will compete in a program that will select a Top
Rising Star based on weekly and final season finishes, fan vote, driver vote
and race officials/sponsor vote.

"There is a new generation of drivers coming up in the ranks, and many of
our fans don't know these young, talented individuals," said Jon Schwartz,
track owner. "We designed this program to market these young stars so fans
can pick their next racing hero, and so these drivers can be recognized for
their hard work and talent."

Drivers in all of the weekly classes will be able to register for the
program, and compete against each other for the Rising Star Award for their
class. Out of the finalists from the following classes: Dodge Super Late
Models, Crate Late Models, City Weekly Grand Nationals, Modifieds, Midas B
Mods, Certified Transmission Pro Ams, Ty's Outdoor Power Equipment Pro
Stocks, Hobby Stocks and Midwest Linings 305 Sprints, one driver will be
selected as the Top Total Performance Parts Rising Star. The Top Rising Star
will receive a $2000 sponsorship from Total Performance Parts, as well as a
new firesuit valued up to $800.

"We felt this was a natural fit for Total Performance Parts to become
involved with as a sponsor because we want to support the next rising stars
of this sport," said Michael Gillespie, Total Performance Parts manager.

Drivers who sign up will be expected to participate in autograph sessions at
the track, conduct themselves in a professional manner, and also have fun.

"This isn't just about judging these drivers based on their abilities and
awarding a sponsorship, it's also about interacting with the race fans,"
said Schwartz.

Drivers can sign up at either Total Performance Parts, 8427 Madison St. in
Omaha, NE, or at the I-80 Speedway track office.

URSS Kicks off 2007 Season May 5 in Oberlin, KS

The United Rebel Sprint Series is ready to return to the track for the 2007
Season. With an influx of new and veteran drivers, the URSS starts it's
Sophomore Season poised to become the Midwest's Premiere 305 Traveling
Series. The 305 Traveling Series will appear at 14 Racing Venues in Kansas,
Colorado and Nebraska with a 23 Race Date schedule for the 2007 Season.

The 2007 Racing Season kicks off Saturday, May 5th in Oberlin, Kansas with a
return visit to the 3/8's mile high banks of the Oberlin Speedway. Cody
Salem will make his return to the drivers seat for car owner John Tyrrell,
both Oberlin natives are returning to their roots and will try to take home
the Winners Trophy to start off their first Season for the Flying Angels
Racing Team. Also making his URRS Debut is Todd Johnson of Norcatur, driving
for car owner Gene Gallentine. The racing action kicks off at 7:30pm with
Mod Lites of Colorado, Mini Trucks, and Classic Modifieds joining the URSS
305 Sprint Cars. The Oberlin Speedway is located at the Decatur County
Fairgrounds, just west of the US 83 and US 36 Junction.

The racing action continues Sunday night, May 6th as the URSS makes its
series debut at the Dawson County Raceway in Lexington, Nebraska. The URSS
Sprint Cars will join the regular show at the lightning fast 3/8's mile
Speedway featuring IMCA Modified, IMCA Stock Car and IMCA Hobby Stock to
kick off their 2007 Racing Season. Having a new venue like Dawson County
Raceway is vital to the growth of the URSS Series and gives the Nebraska
Drivers in the Series a chance to race with their hometown fans packing the
stands. Look for the fans of Doug Roth, Bill Hays, Tommy Williams and Tom
Belsky to raise the roof as they cheer on their hometown racers. Gates will
open at 5 PM, Central Time, with racing starting at 7 PM, Central Time.
Dawson County Raceway is on the Dawson County Fairgrounds along U.S. Highway
283, 2 miles north of the Lexington/I-80 interchange, exit 237.

Poll Results

It was an interesting poll. Most of the votes had a bleak view of the state
of racing, with 54% of you thinking that weekly racing was in decline,
compared to only 20% seeing it as growth.

Two-day Spring Fling at Eagle Raceway

This weekend will offer a full array of racing with 4 classes on
Saturday and an Enduro Bash on Sunday with open practice to follow.

Saturday's Spring Fling Autograph Night will offer fans an opportunity
to meet their favorite drivers and get their autographs. Front gates
open at 5:30pm with racing starting at 7:00pm. Adults $10, Youth(6-13)
$5, and children 5 & under free.

Sunday will offer a full afternoon of entertainment with the first
compact Enduro of the race season with $1000 going to the winner. The
Enduro race will start at 1:00pm and will last 200 laps or 2
hours.(whichever comes first) An open house practice for all classes
will immediately follow the Enduro race.(approx. 3:15pm) Adults $10,
Youth(6-13) $5 and children 5 & under free. Make sure you pick up a 2
for 1 coupon good for the Enduro race on Sunday when you enter the front
gate on Saturday night.

JMS CARnival

On Saturday, May 19th Junction Motor Speedway will participate in the
CARnival, a fund raising activity for the Children's Miracle Network. The
CARnival is being hosted by the York, NE Wal-Mart Store. For twenty years,
Wal-Mart has sponsored the Children's Miracle Network.

Several area groups have committed to display their race cars, classic cars,
motorcycles and special interest automobiles. In addition to Junction Motor
Speedway, other organizations will be on hand to display their wares and
show their support for the Children's Miracle Network, including; Alltel,
Sprint, XM Radio, Cost Cutters, Subway, Cornerstone Bank, Budweiser, Coors,
Kodak, Hershey's, Wimmers, Lays and Vision Center.

Coke and Pepsi will have an inflatable race track for remote cars and an
inflatable bungee run for older kids and kids at heart! The aforementioned
activities will take place at the north end of the Wal-Mart parking lot from
10:00 AM through 4:00 PM.

Throughout the day and inside Wal-Mart's Super Center, the Children's
Miracle Network will be showcased and promoted in Sporting Goods, Hardware,
Lawn & Garden, Bakery, Fabrics and the Grocery departments. KTMX radio will
broadcast live from the CARnival from 9AM to 11AM.

Many of Junction Motor Speedway's drivers and crew members will be
displaying their race cars and signing autographs throughout the day.
Junction Motor Speedway representatives will be available to answer
questions and handout the 2007 JMS race calendars. Please join JMS at the
Children's Miracle Network CARnival on Saturday, May 19th from 10AM to 4PM,
at Wal-Mart in York.

Well, better late than never! My apologies for not sending this out sooner.
I wish to thank everyone involved in making Midwest Racers Autograph Day a
huge success… again! Despite the cool temperatures, the atmosphere was warm
at Uncle Ron's on April 7th.

I wish to thank my committee who worked diligently through their own work
schedules and personal challenges to make it all happen for the sport they
love. My heartfelt thanks go out to Suzanne Lammers, The Bryan Race Team,
Melissa Borman, Mandi Oswald, Patti Herrod, Mike Mook, Bruce Steenson, Doug
McCall, Joe Orth, Chris Moses, Brandon Anderson, and Amy Wooten. Without
their hard work, there is NO Autograph Day! Thanks to all the other
volunteers that helped with traffic control, and setup of the event.

April 7th 2007 with it's cool temperatures may have put a damper on
attendance, but it could not subdue the spirit of all that came to show
their support of racing. This years event took on a political twist with the
debate over putting in a drag strip in Northern Lancaster County. To help
show our support, we were fortunate to have Lincoln Mayoral Candidate Ken
Svoboda in attendance.

Our humble thanks to (Uncle) Ron Tegtmeier for allowing us to have our event
at his facility free of charge. He is truly a pillar of our community, and
an ambassador to motorsports.

Wavelink Raceway Park Kicks off Season this Weekend

WRP will start the race season this weekend with no points races for both
Go-Karts and Micro Sprints.

Saturday, April 28th: Go-Karts No Points race. Driver registration cut-off
is 5:45 p.m., pit meeting at 6:30, hot laps and racing to follow.

Sunday, April 29th: Micro Sprints No Points race. Pit meeting at 5:30, hot
laps and racing to follow.

Lincoln Saltdogs "Talledega Nights" promo

The Lincoln Saltdogs baseball team is looking for drivers to participate in
their Talledega Nights promotion on Tuesday, June 19th. The Saltdogs are
looking for 30-40 cars to participate in a car show before the baseball
game. During the 7th inning stretch, the cars will drive around the warning
track of the ballfield.

This is a great way to give your sponsors some exposure and treat your crew
to a great game! Each participating driver will receive two tickets to the
game. Additional tickets can be purchased for $5 a piece.

Blackbird Bend Enduro Rescheduled for May 3

From Blackbird Bend Speedway

The First Annual Tri State Front Wheel Drive Enduro
scheduled at Blackbird Bend Speedway Onawa, IA for April 22nd was cancelled
due to rain, and was going to be Sunday, April 29th.

Due to Eagle Raceway in Lincoln, NE being scheduled for the same date, we
will be moving our enduro to Thursday, May 3rd. Gates open 5:30pm with
racing at 7:30pm.

Eagle Raceway will be putting up a $500.00 bonus if you win their enduro and
also win at Blackbird Bend Speedway. So this means if your in a Minivan, and
can win both enduros lyou could pick up $2,000.00. Look forward to seeing
you Thursday, May 3rd.

Blackbird Bend Speedway - The First Annual Tri State Front Wheel Drive
Enduro scheduled for tonight Sunday, April 22nd has been cancelled due
to rain. It is rescheduled to Sunday, April 29th with gates opening at
4pm and racing at 6pm.

I-80 Speedway - Today's practice and hornet race are cancelled due to rain.

Wavelink Raceway Park - The Micro Sprint Practice Session scheduled
for tonight has been cancelled due to rain and wet conditions. The
Micro Sprints will start off their race season next weekend with a
No-Points race on Sunday, April 29th. See you then!

Chadd, Grabouski, Wulf and Busboom take Ice Breaker Challenge Wins at Eagle

From Eagle Raceway:

(April 21, 2007) - Eagle Raceway's 2007 Ice Breaker Challenge
definitely lived up to it name. A total of 143 cars checked in for the
festivities. The racing was nothing less than spectacular all evening
to say the least. From the first heat to the last lap of the A
Features, there was great racing all evening.

Despite temperatures nearing 80 degrees in the afternoon, a brisk wind
kept the weather bearable. The afternoon warmth turned to a definite
chill in the evening. Those same strong winds unfortunately combined
with the afternoon heat and led to the track drying very early despite
the diligent efforts of the track prep crew beginning Thursday evening
after the Practice Night.

Even so, every driver spoken to praised the crew. "There was nothing
that could be done with the weather the way it was" said one driver.
"I want to compliment Roger for giving us as good of a track as we
had" said another.

A very good crowd was on hand to witness 14 heats and 7 B features
topped off by 4 tremendous A Main events.

Possibly most exiting was the Budweiser 360 Sprint A Feature. Three of
the top four starters, Jason Danley, Jay Russell, Mike Chadd and Tige
Jensen fought tooth and nail from the Green Flag until the Checkered
flew. On the 9th lap, Russell passed Mike Chadd to take the lead. On
the 13th lap Jensen slid his way past Danley. This was just the
beginning of one of the best features seen at Eagle in many year. At
the end, Mike Chadd prevailed over Jason Danley, with Jay Russell
coming home a very close 3rd followed in 4th by Tige Jensen.

The entire race saw the front four going tooth and nail, with no one
getting a substantial lead at any time.

After the races the Monster Modified feature winner, Jordan Grabouski
said "This was a really cool win. My last win came at Abilene Texas
last year, and it's been a long dry spell. We just haven't had much
luck lately". He was thrilled to be able to finish ahead of his
employer John Saathoff. Jordan is a regular at Red Cloud on Friday
nights and at Beatrice on Saturdays, but was really happy about his
results at Eagle.

He also wanted to be sure to thank the sponsors and people who helped
him get his win; including Yancy's Automotive, Jet Racing, Delabar
Construction, Red Line Race Graffix, Wein's Farms and Friend
Freightways. Also high on his list of those who do so much for him
were his mother, father, Jace Cody, Max and Aron.

The Budweiser 360 Sprint Feature winner, Mike Chadd praised the track
crew's work. "I can't blame Roger and the crew at all. With this wind,
I'm glad it turned out as well as it did". Asked what helped him win
the feature he stated "Actually, we didn't change a thing on the setup
from the heat race to the Feature. We were probably using the wrong
setup for the track conditions, but we'll take the win."
Although Mike is a past track champion at Eagle, he spent most of last
year traveling. Asked about his plans for 2007, Mike said that the
would try to hit Eagle when possible, but the team has decided to
chase the NCRA points title. "Next week we'll be at Knoxville running
with the World of Outlaws, and the week after we plan on running at
Dodge City, Kansas.

Justin Wulf inherited the trophy in the Valentino's Hobby Stock main
event after Kevin VanLaningham was disqualified for having an offset
rear end. Although Mr. Wulf left before he could be interviewed, we
wish to give him our sincerest congratulations.

Also departing before being interviewed was the Stereo West Auto Toys
Compact A Feature winner, Justin Busboom. Tonight was Justin's first
ever win, despite having raced at Eagle in the same division last
year. He did mention that his goal of getting his first win had
finally been reached. We are sure that many more are in Justin's not
too distant future.

Shelby County Speedway Update

Shelby County Racers Association is happy to announce that we are on
target for our Season Opener that is scheduled for May 5th at Shelby
County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa.

We will be racing each Saturday evening from May 5th through September
1st and finishing up with the 16th Annual Tiny Lund Memorial on
September 14-15. We will be an IMCA Sanctioned track running the
following classes: IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars,
IMCA Hobby Stocks, IMCA Sport Mods and IMCA Sport Compacts.

Our grandstand admission prices are $9.00 for adults, ages 11-18 will
be $6.00 and kids 10 and under will be admitted FREE with a paid
adult. Pit passes will be $22.00 each and we will offer a 10 punch
card for $200 which provides a $20 discount on each punch card. These
punch cards will be available for purchase throughout the racing
season. Gates will open each night at 5:00 PM, with hot laps at 6:30
and racing at 7:00 PM.

We are pleased to announce that we will have a full safety crew on
hand including the Elk Horn/Kimballton Fire Department and Medivac
Rescue. This fire department has many hours of training specifically
for this type of service and we are so happy to have them back
onboard. Ken Buse will also be with us each Saturday night with fuel
and parts available at the racetrack.

Kay Schurke will be the Race Director for the 2007 Season and will be
responsible for all the racing events each night. Flagman,
scorekeepers, tech inspectors and track help are all being lined up
and will be ready to go on the first night. Concessions will be
available at the track both on the grandstand side and the pit side.

this endeavor. We look forward to seeing you during a great racing

Saathoff, Struckhoff, Buss take Speed Bowl opener

RED CLOUD, NE (April 20)—After a one week delay due to weather, the
season opener for the 2007 racing season took place at The Speed Bowl
in Red Cloud, NE, Friday evening, April 20.

Johnny 'The Jet' Saathoff of Beatrice led all 20 laps of
the caution filled IMCA Modified feature. Saathoff took the lead at
the drop of the green, closely pursued by Brandon Blochlinger, Darrick
Klima and Brian Calhoon. Saathoff was able to pull away from the
field after the first four restarts, but after the fifth and final
restart on lap 12, Klima hounded Saathoff in a race for the lead. But
Klima's bid for the checkers came to an end with 2 laps to go when he
got high in turn 2 and fell back in the field. Blochlinger then
followed Saathoff to the checkers, followed by Loren Dauer, Lonnie
Schriner and Jason Schoenberger. But Dauer was disqualified in
post-race tech for an illegal flywheel, moving everyone else in the
field up one spot. Heat race winners were Troy Johnson, Wade Cross,
and Klima.

The IMCA Stock Car feature went caution free all 20 laps
and Cory Struckhoff of Kensington picked up his first win of the
season. Jared Remus led the opening lap, followed closely by
Struckhoff, Matt Streit and heat two winner Wayne Walker. Streit and
Walker would both fall by the wayside during the race, Streit going up
in smoke and Walker with a flat tire. Struckhoff finally got past
Remus on lap 15 and held on to the wire for the win. Lance Borgman,
Josh Hudson, Brett Behrends and Brent Drohmen rounded out the top
five. Remus got a flat with 2 laps to go and finished 9th. Martin
Newlin won the other heat race.

Jim Buss of Blue Hill squeezed under Jerry Hudson in turn
four coming to the white flag in the 14-lap IMCA Hobby Stock feature
to score the win. Buss chased Hudson from the opening lap, and stayed
close thanks to four caution flags. The defending track champion then
made his move on lap 12 for the win. Hudson finished second, followed
by Wade Wagenblast, Jared Lewis and Rocky Zimmerman. Buss and Mike
Schriver were victorious in the two heat races.

Defending track champions Adam Sidlo & E.J. Kothe took the
lead on lap 2 from Drew & Ethan Barry to win the Cruiser feature.
Terry Gradig & Jeremy Teselle finished third. Sidlo & Kothe also won
the heat race.

Racing action returns to The Speed Bowl next Friday night,
April 27. Race time is 8:00 p.m.

Anderson Takes MLRA Shootout at I-80 Speedway

(GREENWOOD NEB., 04/20/07) John Anderson would start from the pole and
win the 30 lap MLRA North/South Shootout at I-80 Speedway. Jason
Friesen and Dave Towne would also visit victory lane on a beautiful
Nebraska night.

John Anderson would wheel his #2J Shop Quik sponsored late model to
victory lane after leading the entire 30 lap feature. Terry Phillips
would pass his teammate, Jeremy Payne, in the closing laps to gain
second spot, while Jack Sullivan and Joe Kosiski rounded out the top
five.

The modified "A" feature would start with a horrific accident on lap
three. The #1s of Scott Carlson would get sideways on the front
stretch and the rest of the field would pile in. A ten plus car
accident would take place, with a couple of cars getting upside down.
The #07 of Mike Goldfus would get the worse end of the deal completely
destroying everything on his car. With all the wreckage, all drivers
were able to walk away without serious injury. When racing action got
back underway, it was Jason Friesen who stole the show. Friesen would
take the trophy and the $1000 winners purse.

Dave Towne would take the 15 lap Hobby Stock "A" feature. Towne would
start seventh, and work his way up through the field during the
caution filled event. Andy Gregg would beat Tom Myers for second with
Kevin Van Laningham and Max Harder rounding out the top five.

JMS Kids Bike Nights

Young race fans ages twelve and under have a chance this race season to win
bicycles at Junction Motor Speedway thanks to the generous participation of
a major national retailer. Any youngster attending the races on any race
night at JMS may sign up for a chance to win a free bicycle.

The JMS Gift Store will serve as the sign-up headquarters every Saturday
night.

On the fourth Saturday night of each month starting in May, a boys and a
girls bike will be given away at Junction Motor Speedway. Two bikes will be
given away in each of the following months-May, June, July and August. To
find out who the bicycle donor is, you'll have to come out to the speedway
on opening night-Saturday April 21st!

I-80 50-lap Hornet Battle Royale April 22

Greenwood, Nebraska (April 18, 2007)- Immediately following practice
at I-80 Speedway on Sunday, April 22 the Stereo West Auto Toys Hornets
will battle each other in a 50 lap Battle Royale for $200 to win. A
second 50-lap Battle Royale will be held on Sunday, May 6 after
practice. The practice session on both dates will run from 1:00 to
4:00 p.m. and is open to all divisions

"We wanted to give our hornets a couple of specials to race in before
the season started so they could get some extra practice in and
compete in a race," said Steve Kosiski, owner.

Hornet drivers will draw for starting position, and it will be a
heads-up lineup. During the 50 lap Battle Royale, yellow flag laps
will be counted until there are 10 laps left in the race. If a driver
causes two yellow flags, they will be sent to the pits. Hornet drivers
participating in this race must sign in by 3:30 p.m.

Entry fee for the hornet race is $15 plus a pit pass. Pit passes are
$10 with a NASCAR license or I-80 Speedway Hard Card, and $20 without.
Pit Pass prices for the practice are the same for all divisions, and
it is valid for the hornet race.

JMS Rock'n Racers Junior Fan Club

We are very excited to continue something new at JMS to show our
appreciation to all of our 'young' race fans up to age 12. The idea and
concept of the "club" is to encourage participation for the children with
various give aways, contests, t-shirt signing, opportunities to meet their
favorite racers, etc.

The first meeting was held in August of 2006 to discuss what they would like
to do as part of this new found organization. As a group they voted on a
group name of "Rock'n Racers Club". We'd also like to see the children
involved with the club to get to know other fellow race fans from other
towns. Each child received their own "membership card".

All the children are encouraged to present their ideas and what they would
like to see happen to make their visits to JMS the most exciting adventure
possible.

MLRA North South Shootout at I-80 Friday 4/20

Greenwood, Nebraska (April 16, 2007)- Super Late Models return to I-80
Speedway on Friday, April 20 when the stars and cars of the Midwest Late
Model Racing Association (MLRA) hit the dirt for the $3,000 to win MLRA
North South Shootout. Joining the MLRA will be Modifieds racing for $1,000
to win and hobby stocks racing for $300 to win.

Some of the stars expected to compete are Terry Phillips, Kelly Boen, Al
Purkey, Alan Vaughan, and Jack Sullivan. Local stars include Kyle Berck,
John Anderson, Joe Kosiski and Ed Kosiski.

This race, originally scheduled for April 7, was moved to April 20 because
of freezing temperatures predicted for the original date. The second day of
the show, to be held at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS, is rescheduled
for April 28.

This is not a sanctioned event for the Modifieds and Hobby Stocks so they
will not need a license to participate. The purse for this race will be the
same as it would have been on April 7. Pit gates will open at 4:00 p.m.,
grandstand at 5:00 p.m., hot laps at 6:30 p.m., and racing at 7:00 p.m.
Drivers will need to check in by 6:15 p.m., with the driver's meeting to
immediately follow. Grandstand admission is $15, with kids 10 and under
free. Pit passes will be $30.

The Pace Lap - Thoughts from the weekend

It was good to get out Sunday night after a hard weekend of moving. It was also nice to go to a race and not freeze my buns off.

- I need to give props to the I-80 staff for clicking off the show on Sunday night. One thing I make a really big deal about is getting a show started on time. I think it's one of the most important things we can do for fans, new and old. They didn't mess around Sunday the show started awfully close to the posted time and they didn't mess with a long intermission or gaps between races.

-Got to see a lot of folks that I haven't seen since winter including historian Bob Mays. If you haven't been to his website, take a look: http://www.fastrack-publishing.com/

-I know some people ask how with all the rain could a track be dry like Saturday and Sunday. I have to give kudos for keeping a smooth track out there. Yeah, it was race along the bottom but there was some drama and it's better than the early springtime motocross tracks that usually result when they try to make them tacky.

- Passing points can be a bite when you get over 40 cars. Just ask Jack Dover - second in his heat, but with no bonus passing points you can be SOL. I heard the phrase "Another A feature" when the second B rolled out. Makes for an interesting show.

- I can remember seeing Giltner's Al Humphrey race when I was a little kid. I got into the Sprint Car scene and saw him rarely. It was nice to see the veteran take a convincing win in the GN Late Model Division.

- I think I have a pair of shoes older than B-Mod winner Brett Moffit! His driving certainly belied his age - very smooth and precise.

- It's good to hear Chad Humston and Jake Peters are doing well after horrific crashes Saturday night. You can check out the aftermath and photos from other crashes on Brad Brown's IBRACN.com

Swenson Swipes ASCS Regional Showdown Finale at I-80 Speedway

Lonnie Wheatley, GREENWOOD, Neb. (April 15, 2007) – Brian Brown had his sights set on a sweep of the weekend's American Sprint Car Series Midwest vs. Northern Plains Region double at Nebraska Raceway Park's I-80 Speedway, but Chuck Swenson was quick to capitalize on Brown's early misfortune and went on to win Sunday night's 20-lap feature.

Swenson assumed the point when Brown surrendered the lead with a broken rear end on the fifth circuit, then held off a closing Don Droud, Jr., by five car-lengths to secure the win aboard the Fisher-powered K&C Conversions/Nichols Construction No. X Maxim.

“I like tracks like this!" Swenson exclaimed in victory lane. "It was dry but it was fast. Everyone ran clean tonight and no one really tore anything up to bad and that’s good. The key to this deal is to draw good and then qualify through your heat. The crew did a great job and the car was real good tonight.”

Swenson and Brown led the feature field to the green flag, with Brown gunning into the early lead. It was a short-lived lead however, as mechanical woes denied Brown a sweep of the weekend's action on the fifth lap.

Out in front, Swenson began working lapped traffic on the ninth round and held a half straightaway lead with five laps to go. With the reigning ASCS Northern Plains Region champion mired in heavy traffic over the final two rounds, Droud closed to with a handful of car-lengths but was unable to make a move on Swenson.

Wayne Johnson chased the lead duo to the stripe, with Mike Boston snaring fourth. Jack Dover climbed from eleventh to round out the top five, with Wade Nygaard, Scott Winters, Rick Ideus, 14th-starter Garry Lee Maier and Preston Peebles II completing the top ten.

Lee Grosz passed the most cars in the feature by advancing from 19th to finish twelfth.
Droud, Boston, Ideus, Brown and Johnson topped heat race action for Sunday night's 48 car field, with Dover and Winters winning the twin "B" Mains.

Adam Gullion's night was cut short when he flipped in hot laps. Gullion was uninjured.

Speed Bowl season opener weathered out

RED CLOUD, NE (April 13)—Due to rain and cold temperatures, the season opener at The Speed Bowl in Red Cloud, NE, Friday evening, April 13, was cancelled. The season opener will move to next Friday evening, April 20.

The new 4-cylinder ‘Young Guns’ division will join the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Hobby Stocks and Cruisers on the 3/8-mile oval. Race time is 8:00 p.m.

Brown takes I-80 ASCS Opener

(GREENWOOD NEB., 04/14/07) Brian Brown would lead the entire 20 lap ASCS Midwest and Northern Plains Regions "A" feature event to take the victory on opening night at I-80 Speedway. Marty Steinbach would make a late race charge after a caution with three laps to go to win the Certified Transmission Pro Stock main event. Jake Leighty would also visit victory lane in the 305 Sprint division.

The 20 lap ASCS Midwest and Northern Plains Regions feature event would start with two major accidents. The first would see the #57x of Jake Peters taking a wild ride down the front stretch. Peters car would end up in two pieces, but he was able to walk away. The second accident took place when the #23C of Chad Humston went flipping down the front straightaway. Humston was transported to a local hospital for precautionary reasons, but he was able to get out of his car on his own power. Since both accidents occurred before an official lap was complete, 20 laps still remained on the scoreboard. With 13 of the original 20 drivers still on the track, the green flew and it was all Brian Brown. Brown led flag to flag, Wayne Johnson finished second with Chuck Swenson finishing third.

The Certified Transmission Pro Stocks saw their 18 lap feature event come down to the final laps. After a caution on lap 15, Marty Steinbach took advantage of the stacked up field to win the event. Tim Podraza edged out both Joe Feyen and Shawn Bulin at the line for second, with Terry Cleveland taking home fifth.

The 12 lap 305 Sprint car division "A" feature would see the #99 of Matt Stelzer jump to an early lead. Stelzer would lead the first nine laps until he would loose control of his machine in turn one. With Stelzer having to go to the rear of the field for bring out the caution, that gave Minnesota driver Jake Leighty the lead. Leighty would hold the top spot for the final three laps to take the victory over Michael Oliver and a hard charging Stelzer.

The NCRA 360 Sprints will join the ASCS Sprints on Sunday, April 15, and will be supported by the Grand Nationals and B Mods. The Grand National and B Mod races are not sanctioned so no license is needed. Pit Gates will open at 3:00 p.m., and grandstands at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps at are at 5:00 p.m., and racing at 6:00 p.m. Driver registration closes at 4:45 p.m. and a pit meeting will immediately follow. Admission is $15 for adults and kids 10 and under FREE. Pit passes are $30 and $25 for ASCS members, and NASCAR license holders.

Temperatures predicted for Friday are expected to be in the 20's, and
there is a good possibility of flurries and/or showers. Owners and
management decided to make an early call out of respect for the
drivers, crews and fans who would have attended the races.

"Freezing temperatures can damage equipment and we didn't want to
force a driver to take that chance" said Jon Schwartz, track owner.
"We also don't expect our fans to sit through a show they can't enjoy
because of the weather, so we rescheduled it early to give them plenty
of notice to make other plans."

Little Sunset Speedway's first day of practice on April 14 has been
rescheduled for Sunday, April 15 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Beatrice Season Opener Postponed

Due to current wet conditions at the track and the forecast of
rain/snow/cold and wind this weekend's (Sat. April 14) Budweiser
Season Opener is canceled.

The Budweiser season opener will now be April 28th, gates will open at
3:30, hot laps at 5 and racing at 6:00. All classes scheduled for
April 28th will be racing.

after this weekend.

Eagle Raceway Practice & Enduro Postponed

Eagle Raceway regrets to announce the first postponement of the 2007
race season and hopefully the last. With the forecast rain and cold
temperatures predicted, we feel there is no chance of having a good
track surface possible for this weekend.

The practice day scheduled on this Saturday will be rescheduled for
Thursday, April 19th from 6:00pm to dark.

The Ice Breaker Challenge will remain as scheduled for April 21st.

Sunday's April 15th Enduro Bash will be rescheduled for Sunday, April
29th. The Enduro will start promptly at 1:00pm and will be followed by
an Open House practice from 3:30pm to 6:00pm.

ASCS Regional Showdown at I-80 Speedway Pushed Back One Day

TULSA, Okla. (April 11, 2007) – Inclement weather has forced a change in
this weekend's scheduled American Sprint Car Series Midwest vs. Northern
Plains Region Showdown at Nebraska Raceway Park's I-80 Speedway.

Originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday, the entire card has been
pushed back one day and will take place on Saturday and Sunday evening,
weather permitting.

Ominous weather forecasts lingering into Friday but then clearing over
the balance of the weekend have forced the change, agreed upon by I-80
Speedway track management and ASCS officials.

ASCS Midwest, Northern Plains Regions Kick Off at I-80 this Weekend

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (April 9, 2007) – The American Sprint Car
Series Midwest and Northern Plains Regions kick off the 2007 season in
spectacular fashion this weekend, squaring off for two full nights of
racing action at Nebraska Raceway Park's I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE.

The lidlifter for both Regional series, last year's edition of this
event attracted an ASCS Regional record of 69 entries. And that's a
record that could be in jeopardy when the Midwest and Northern Plains
Regions converge upon I-80 Speedway's semi-banked, 4/10-mile dirt oval
this Friday and Saturday.

The two-day showdown marks the beginning of a pair of title defenses.
Lincoln, Nebraska's Toby Chapman will make a bid for a second
consecutive ASCS Midwest Region crown, while Watertown, South Dakota's
Chuck Swenson vies for back-to-back ASCS Northern Plains titles.

A third 2006 season champion will be in action as well when the NCRA
joins Saturday night's card. But it is unlikely that Garry Lee Maier of
Cimarron, KS, will try for another NCRA championship as he has rejoined
the O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series.

Maier, currently ranked eighth in ASCS National points, is one of five
drivers ranked among the top-ten expected for the weekend. Others
include Swenson, who is third after several strong early runs, along
with second-ranked Wayne Johnson of Oklahoma City, sixth-ranked Jason
Johnson of Eunice, LA and ninth-ranked Rookie of the Year contender Andy
Shouse, also of Oklahoma City.
Both the Midwest and Northern Plains Regions will be well represented
over the weekend. Along with Chapman, other top ASCS Midwest Region
shoes expected include Jack Dover, Mike Chadd, Rick Ideus, Jason Danley,
Chad Humston and Mark Pace.

Swenson leads the ASCS Northern Plains Region forces, with others top
contenders expected to include Eric Lutz, Curt Lund, Lee Grosz, Scott
Winters and Mike Sitzmann, Jr.

Also expected for the weekend are South Dakota's Jake Peters, who won
the recent Devil's Bowl Speedway Spring Nationals in O'Reilly American
Sprint Cars on Tour action, and defending race winner Brian Brown of
Missouri, who declared after last year's triumph, "Man, I love this
place. I-80 may be favorite track in the whole wide world. I might just
have to move to Nebraska." Brown has been victorious in three of four
ASCS starts at I-80 over the past two years.

Friday's racing action goes green at 7:00 p.m., with Saturday's card
kicking off at 6:30 p.m.

Nebraska Raceway Park's I-80 Speedway is located between Lincoln and
Omaha off I-80 Exit 420, then 0.4 miles north on State Road 63, then

In its third year of competition, the ASCS Midwest Region 2007 slate
consists of ten events at a half dozen tracks throughout and Nebraska
and the surrounding area.
Geared up for a second year of action, the ASCS Northern Plains Region
2007 season includes 21 events at a dozen different tracks throughout
Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin.

The 2007 season marks the 16th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing for
the American Sprint Car Series. With a dozen different Regions in
addition to the O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series,
ASCS will sanction approximately 240 nights of racing at more than 100
different race tracks throughout at least 30 different states and Canada.

Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of Fame Names 2007 Inductees

LINCOLN, Neb. (April 5, 2007) -- The Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of Fame
Induction Ceremony will be held on Friday, Oct. 12, at the Lincoln
Firefighters Reception Hall at 241 Victory Lane in Lincoln, Neb. The
event will mark the 10th Anniversary of the Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of
Fame -- a volunteer organization dedicated to honoring outstanding
Nebraskans with a history of involvement in auto racing.

The members of the class of 2007 include Edwin "Tex" Arnold, Omaha;
Larry Danhauer, Lincoln; Sam Hoffman, Omaha; R. (Ronney) Householder,
Omaha; Glen Robey, Omaha; Jim Schuman, Lincoln; and Darrell Zimmerman,
Big Springs.

Edwin "Tex" Arnold

Arnold was a long-time SCCA driver with seven divisional championships,
and also served as technical inspector for the U.S. Grand Prix Formula 1
race in Indianapolis. Arnold also was Director of Club Racing for the
SCCA and worked for many prominent teams in road racing.

Larry Danhauer

Danhauer has built engines for many forms of racing including late
models, sprint cars, modifieds, hobby and street stocks. His engines
have won over 50 track championships. Danhauer was the engine builder
for 2006 NARHoF inductee Kent Tucker throughout his illustrious career.

R. (Ronney) Householder

Householder began racing midgets in 1933 during the golden age of midget
racing. He won many midget races across the country and also competed in
the Indy 500 in 1937 and 1938. In 1964, Householder took control of
Chrysler Corporation's stock car racing efforts.

Sam Hoffman

In a career that stretched from 1921 to 1946, Hoffman raced big cars and
midgets with equal success. Driving for such stellar owners as Felix
Morosco, Leonard Kerbs and John Bagley, "The Flying Cop" won races from
Indiana to California.

Glen Robey

Robey started his racing career in 1949 at the Grandview Race Bowl in
South Omaha and was a winner right from the beginning. He was one of the
early hotdogs at Playland Park in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and won the very
first feature contested at Omaha's Sunset Speedway in 1957. Robey raced
jalopies, supermodifieds and late models in a career that is still going
strong 58 years after he started.

Jim Schuman

Schuman was first exposed to racing in 1954 when his father, Bill, began
racing stock cars. Over the next six decades Schuman has been a driver,
mechanic, car builder and one of the most talented artists in the sport.
Schuman was the driving force behind the Museum of American Speed as the
initial Curator/Restoration Manager of the attraction.

Darrell Zimmerman

Zimmerman began his racing career in stock cars but soon turned his
attention to drag racing. His first drag racing trophy came in 1953
driving his Full House Flathead 1951 Ford Coupe. He set 22 track records
during his drag racing career. In 1956 Zimmerman was appointed NHRA
Regional Advisor for the West Central Division of the NHRA, and in 1961
became the Division Director for the NHRA West Central Division.

least four years from the discipline they are being honored for. Active

Beatrice Speedway Adds $2K Late Model Memorial Day Race

Beatrice Speedway is pleased to announce an impressive addition to the 2007 Beatrice Speedway Racing Schedule.

Late Models will be making a return appearance to Beatrice Speedway for the first time in many years. As stated by Promoter Tim Fralin, "These are step above the Late Models that have raced at Beatrice Speedway in previous years. The fans are in for a treat when these big boys make their appearance."

On Memorial Day Monday May 28th, 2007, Beatrice Speedway will host a $2000 to win Late Model Show. This will be a prime opportunity for all of the Late Model Drivers that are attending the Alphabet Soup Race at I-80 Speedway on May 27th to pick up some more money. The only sanctioning body that has a race that day is the WDRL so the MARS, MLRA, TORA, NCRA and CLMA will be free so that there racers can attend this big event. Fralin stated " We saw this at a prime opportunity to get a big Late Model show at Beatrice Speedway along with possibilities of a GOOD car count." Fralin also said, "This is something we hope takes off and we can build on in the future. I-80 and the staff do an excellent job every year with the soup race and if we can continue to follow up that show with a show at Beatrice it would be a good deal all the way around for the racers and fans."

The rules will be the same as the Alphabet Soup race. Expected drivers include Kyle Berck, Terry Phillips, Jeremy Payne and Johnny Saathoff to name a few.

The Beatrice Speedway Factory Stocks will be running as the Support Class for this show.

Gates open at 3:00p.m. Hot laps at 4:30pm with Racing at 5:30pm. Grandstand admission is $12.00, 6-11 is $3.00 5 and under is FREE and pit admission is $25.00. So mark your calendar for one of the most anticipated shows of 2007 at Beatrice Speedway.

FLASH - I-80 MLRA N-S Shootout Postponed to April 20

Greenwood, Nebraska (April 4, 2007)- Below freezing temperatures forecasted
for this coming Saturday, April 7 have forced the owners and management of
I-80 Speedway to reschedule the North South Shootout featuring the Midwest
Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) to Friday, April 20.

Temperatures predicted for this weekend are expected to be in the low 20's,
and out of respect for the drivers, crews and fans who would have had to sit
through the freezing temperatures, the owners and management felt it was
best to cancel early.

"We didn't want the drivers to have to risk damage to their engines, and we
didn't want the fans to have to sit through freezing temperatures while
trying to enjoy a top notch show," said Mike Merrill, track owner. "By
rescheduling the race now, we are able to give enough notice to those who
were planning on making the trip."

The Friday, April 20 date was selected because it did not conflict with the
World Dirt Racing League (WDRL), National Championship Racing Association
(NCRA), and the Topless Outlaw Racing Association (TORA). It also works well
with the MLRA schedule as they will be heading to Winston, MO on Saturday,
April 21st.

Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City also canceled their MLRA North South
Shootout show that was scheduled for Friday, April 6 due to the forecasted
temperatures, and has rescheduled it for Saturday April 28. With I-80
Speedway and Lakeside Speedway working with the MLRA, drivers and race fans
will still be able to enjoy the 2007 North South Shootout.

The rescheduled race on April 20 at I-80 Speedway will also feature the
Modifieds and Hobby stocks as supporting divisions. This is not a sanctioned
event so the Modifieds and Hobby Stocks will not need a license to
participate. The purse for this race will be the same as it would have been
on April 7. Pit gates will open at 4:00 p.m., grandstand at 5:00 p.m., hot
laps at 6:30 p.m., and racing at 7:00 p.m. Drivers will need to check in by
5:45 p.m., with the driver's meeting to immediately follow. Grandstand
admission is $15, with kids 10 and under free. Pit passes will be $30.

I-80 Speedway to host Midwest-Northern Plains Shootout

Greenwood, NE (March 9, 2007) - The American Sprint Car Series Midwest and
Northern Plains Regions square off once again at I-80 Speedway on Friday
April 13, 2007 and Saturday, April 14, 2007. Joining the ASCS Sprint Cars
on Saturday night will be the stars and 360 Sprint Cars of the NCRA making
this a weekend of racing that Midwest sprint car fans don't want to miss.
Also on tap for Friday's show will be the Pro Stocks (Pro Ams/IMCA Stock
Cars), as well as the growing 305 Sprint Car class. This race will be the
first night of points for the I-80 305 Sprints.

"With this weekend being the season opener for both the ASCS Midwest and
Northern Plains Region 360 Sprints, and with the addition of the NCRA on
Saturday, we could see nearly 70 sprint cars compete," said Mac McSpeed,
Track Spokesperson. "We're pleased that we can bring such a high caliber
of 360 sprint car racing to our area, and also treat the fans to the
excitement of some of our weekly classes."

The Northern Plains Region is expected to bring a contingent of more than
20 drivers from the North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota area, with
the Midwest Region attracting all the top contenders throughout Nebraska,
Iowa and portions of Missouri and Kansas.

Among the Midwest Region representatives will be Lincoln's Toby Chapman,
who is the 2006 Midwest Region champion, and Jack Dover, Mike Chadd and
Rick Ideus.

The ASCS Northern Plains contenders will include the 2006 Champion Chuck
Swenson, along with other 2006 point finishers Eric Lutz, Curt Lund and
Lee Grosz.

Two-time national NCRA champion Garry Lee Maier of Cimarron, Kansas, leads
the contingent of NCRA forces into the event, with 56 career victories.
Other NCRA contenders include J.D. Johnson, Mike Peters, and Jake Martens,
all Top 5 Points finishers in 2006.

Friday Night racing action is slated to get under way at 7:00pm with pit
gates opening at 4:00pm, grandstands opening at 5:00pm with hot laps at
6:00pm. Saturday night racing action is set to begin at 6:30pm with pit
gates opening at 3:30 and grandstands at 4:30pm with hot laps at 5:30pm.

County Board supports motor sports

The Lancaster County Board has formally thrown its support behind motor
sports activities in the county.

On a 4-0 vote, commissioners on Tuesday approved a resolution that supports
such development and pledges its aid. Commissioner Bernie Heier was absent.

The board will offer "appropriate government resources" in locating and
developing a motor sports facility somewhere that maximizes economic
benefits and minimizes negative impacts for nearby landowners and users.

The declaration stems from a recommendation from the Motor Sports Task
Force. The volunteer advisory committee spent more than two months studying
the possible ways a motor sports facility could affect life in Lancaster
County, from economic gains to social drawbacks.
