Butler County Motorplex "Up-Rising" Results

The "Uprising" was held at Butler County Motorplex on Friday June 13th. Tom

Svoboda moved into the lead on lap two of the first IMCA Modified heat race
and continued for the win. Bob Zoubek followed in second with Scott Bivens
third and Ross Frank fourth. Mike Densberger got the lead on lap three of
the second heat race and went on to win. Chris Alcorn moved into finish
second with Mike Stearns third and Terry Richards fourth.

Damon Richards controlled the IMCA Hobby Stock heat number one from start to

finish. Mike Goldfuss finished in second with Dusty Poessnecker and Shane
Schneider rounding out the top four. Nick Topil had his car working good as
he dominated the second heat race. Ethan Johnson controlled second place as

Quinten Spragg and Shane Hiatt filled the next two positions.

Dan Rhiley won the IMCA Sport Compact heat race even though Shawn Turner had

the best time in that race. Turner finished second with Ben Simpson third
and Tony Rost was fourth.

Max Harder held off Geoff Olson to win the first Sport Mod heat race. Olson
had fast time and finished second with Denny Berghahn Jr. in third and
Nathan Kobus fourth. Roger Harpstor took the win in the second heat. Rod
Bronson, Kevin Kloke and Kyle Becker rounded out the field.

Amanda Rhiley took the early lead in the IMCA Sport Compact feature but
Shawn Turner took control on lap five and continued for the win. Dan Rhiley
moved up to finish in second as Amanda Rhiley was third and Tony Rost
fourth.

Sixteen year old Damon Richards grabbed the lead in the IMCA Hobby Stock
feature. Richards continued his lead and was doing an outstanding job until
lap number eight when he lost control coming out of turn two and rode the
guard rail. Dusty Poessnecker had the lead as the race resumed and went on
to win. Nick Topil finished second followed by Branden Kresha and Mike
Goldfuss.

IMCA Sport Mod driver Max Harder took the early lead in their feature race.
Harder continued to lead until lap number eight when Denny Berghahn Jr. took
control of the race. Berghahn continued for the win as Harder had to settle
for second. Geoff Olson finished third and Steve Swarthout was fourth.

Mike Stearns started the IMCA Modified feature on the inside of row two and
took the lead from Mike Densberger on the second lap of the race. Stearns
continued his lead for the win. The feature was free of any caution flags
making it very exciting for the fans and drivers. Scott Styskal moved up
and finished second. Terry Richards finished third and Densberger was
fourth.

During the short intermission drawings were held for many prizes including
gift cards to Walmart.
