Greenwood, NE (March 14, 2008) -Dirt racing fans in eastern Nebraska and
western Iowa will hear engines come to life at Nebraska's I-80 Speedway on
Saturday, April 5 with the $2000 to win premiere night of the Spec Late
Model Racing Series (SLMR). Joining the SLMR will be the IMCA Modifieds,
Northern Sport Mods and Hobby stocks for their opening IMCA point nights at
the track.

"This series will usher in a new era of local late model racing as top
drivers from the Midwest region compete at area tracks bringing more
opportunities for area race fans to see their favorite late model stars,"
said Ed Kosiski, track promoter. "The SLMR class combines the best of late
model drivers who have raced in such classes as local NASCAR Super Late
Model Series, IMCA Late Models and other touring series."

The SLMR season opener will feature a $2000 to win, 25 lap feature race. The
IMCA Modifieds, Northern Sport Mods and Hobby Stocks will race for their
regular weekly purse.

Racing action is slated to get under way at 7:00 pm with hot laps at 6:30
pm. The pit gate opens at 3:30 pm and the grandstands open at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for juniors 13-18, $1 for kids 5-12, and
under 5 are free. Entry fee for SLMR drivers is $50 including pit pass, $20
for all IMCA drivers, and $20 for all others entering the pits.

The next SLMR show is scheduled for Sunday, April 20 at I-80 Speedway. Other
tracks on the schedule for the series include: Park Jefferson Speedway,
Junction Motor Speedway and Boone County Speedway with other tracks to be
added soon.
