JMS King of the Hill Late Model Shootout

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. -- The O'Reilly/NCRA late model division is set for a return in action this coming Friday and Saturday night (August 7-8) with the annual running of the "King of the Hill Late Model Shootout at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Nebraska in a race that is a co-sanctioned affair with the O'Reilly/MLRA presented by Lucas Oil.

Kyle Berck of Marquette, Nebraska leads the series into the weekend as points leader with a 250 point advantage over Henderson, Colorado's Kelly Boen. Despite missing just one show on the tour, four-time and defending series champion Boen has reeled off five out of six series feature wins and is on a bit of a hot streak. Jason O'Brien of Omaha, Nebraska sits third in the point standings followed by Carter Lake, Iowa's Mike Collins and Cory Zeitner of Bellevue, Nebraska.

Rounding out the top ten in the current O'Reilly/NCRA point standings are Jason Frieson (Sutton, Nebraska), Jason Bodenhamer (Centerview, Missouri), Al Purkey (Coffeyville, Kansas), Scott Koskovich (Council Bluffs, Iowa) and Mike Wiarda (Aurora, Nebraska).

Other series regulars expected to compete include Shawn Harker, Bryant Goldsmith, Wylan Petrie, Steve Kempt, Greg Larsen and Delbert Smith.

Also expected are Al Purkey, John Anderson, Joe Kosiski, David Turner, Alan Vaughn, Denny Woodworth and Chris Smyser.

Close to fifty drivers from at least six states are expected to compete for the $2000 first place prize on Friday night with Saturday nights feature finale winner will take home $3000.

Racing on Friday night starts at 7:30 PM with a $12 general admission tickets for adults, $4 for ages 6-12 and five and under are free. Saturday nights action starts at 7:00 PM with $15 general admission tickets, $4 for ages 6-12 and ages five and under admitted free.

Junction Motor Speedway is a 3/8 mile oval with a gumbo surface and is located 5 miles south of I-80 (York exit) on US 81.
