BEATRICE, Neb. (March 17) – Three features for IMCA Modifieds are on
the upcoming weekend card, for the March 20-22 Spring Nationals at
Beatrice Speedway.
The opening night event pays $1,000 to win and a minimum of $100 to
start, night two pays $1,500 to win and a minimum of $150 to start,
and the finale pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start.
All three events are qualifiers for the 2009 Fast Shafts All-Star
Invitational ballot. Twenty-four cars will take the green flag each
night and all drivers are guaranteed $75 a day in tow money.
Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $300 to win Friday and
Saturday; IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks race for $300 to win on Saturday
and Sunday. The Sunday show also boasts a $200 to win feature for
IMCA Sport Compacts.
National, regional and Smiley’s Racing Products State points will be
awarded at the 16th annual special.
A practice session runs from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 19.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Friday, with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing at
7:30 p.m. On Saturday, gates open at 2:30 p.m., hot laps are at 4:30
p.m. and racing is at 6 p.m. And on Sunday, gates open at 2 p.m. and
racing starts at 3 p.m.
Pit passes are $10 for Thursday’s practice and $25 for each night
Friday through Sunday.
Adult grandstand admission is $12 Friday and Saturday, and $14 on
Sunday. Kids 10 and under pay $5 each night.
