I reveived an email stating that Eagle Raceway is in the process of being sold. The buyer.....All-Star Circuit of Champions President/Owner Guy Webb and the X-Plex Group. After speaking with Eagle Raceway Owner Craig Cormack late Tuesday afternoon, he said that a sale to Webb was touched upon shortly after the October announcement that Eagle Raceway was for sale. However, nothing has transpired since. A call to Full Throttle Entertainment - Eagle Raceway's management - confirmed that Eagle Raceway will run their program as scheduled in 2006.
If (BIG IF) Webb is looking to apply the X-Plex concept at Eagle, he's probably going to need more land. Much of the ground used for parking and surrounding the facility is leased. There have also been zoning discussions regarding residential development in surrounding areas as well. It's not going to affect Eagle Raceway as is, but could be an issue for large scale non-residential interests.
