Butler County Motorplex May 1 Results

Tyler Frye started his first night at the facility in a positive manner as
he took the lead on lap two in the first IMCA Sport Mod heat race. Frye
continued for the win with Nathan Kobus, Buddy Ray Jones, and Rod Bronson
rounding out the top four. Jim Hendricks controlled the second heat as he
lead the entire race. Josh Blumer was second, Rick Rohr third and Denny
Berghahn Jr was fourth.

Tom Svoboda won the first of three IMCA Modified heat races for the night.
Bob Zoubek, Scott Bivens, and James Kleinheksel rounded out the top four.
Mike Densberger grabbed the lead in heat two and led until the final three
laps as Sean Burklund took the lead and the win. Terry Richards, Shane
Stutzman and Densberger rounded out the field. Scott Styskal dominated the
final Modified heat as he led the entire race. Matt Bonnie, Chris Alcorn,
and Clint Homan took the remaining three qualifying positions.


Rudy Brunkhorst led the first half of heat number one in the IMCA Hobby
Stock division but Dusty Poessnecker took control at that point in the race
and continued for the win. Brunkhorst held on to second followed by Lee
Kracht and Mike Goldfuss. Tony Scheffler grabbed the lead in the second
heat race but lost an engine with three laps remaining. Nick Topil took the
win followed by James Pittman, Tim Pritchett Jr., and Branden Wergin.
Jerrid Becker took the lead as the third Hobby Stock heat race began but
Travis Mooney took control on lap two. Brandon Kresha took control on lap
four and continued for the win. Jeremy Hoskinson was second Travis Burger
third and Mooney finished fourth.

The IMCA Sport Compact first heat of the night foun Mike Simpson taking the
lead from Levi Stoakes on lap two. Simpson continued for the witn with Matt
Fralin second, Stoakes was third and Jeff Davis fourth. Jeremy Noonan won
the second heat race with second going to Drae Swarthout, third Derek
Lamberson, fourth Nic Hitz

The program for the night also included the Outlaw Vintage Lites. The
Speedway did not receive a list of names from their organization so we can
not provide information about their heat races and feature other than to say
they were an excellent addition to the racing for the night.

John Saathoff won the IMCA Modified feature after starting pole position.
Randy Brown was second, Brian Levander third and Shane Hiatt fourth.

Matt Fralin from Beatrice controlled the IMCA Sport Compact A-feature with
the win after taking the lead from Levi Stoakes on lap two. Jeremy Noonan
was second, Derek Lamberson third and Mike Simpson fourth.

Lee Kracht took the front position in the IMCA Hobby Stock A-feature and
continued to lead until the final six laps as Nick Topil took control on lap
ten. Dusty Poessnecker stole the win on the final lap as he nanaged to get
past Topil. Nick Topil held on for second with Brandon Kresha third and Lee
Kracht was fourth.

Jim Hendricks took the lead as the IMCA Sport Mod began. Denny Berghahn Jr.
took the lead on lap eight and continued to for his third win in a row.
Hendricks held on for second with Rick Rohr third and Rod Bronson was
fourth.

The IMCA Modified A-feature found Scott Bivens taking the early lead. Shane
Stutzman moved into the front of the pack on lap six and continued for the
win. James Kleinheksel managed to take second with Bivens third and Sean
Burklund was fourth.
